Curry Toyota, Westchester NY Complaint - Do not buy from Curry Toyota in Westchester NY

Review by Badtoyota on 2011-05-26
WETCHESTER, NEW YORK -- Last August I purchased a 2010 Toyota 4 Runner from Curry Toyota in Westchester NY. A small latch that keeps the center console closed broke. I called the dealer to try to get this repaired. The service department has been dishonest with regard to the part being in their possession or not. My salesman Junior offered to get involved and help rectify the situation. Foolish me for believing that a guy that stands to earn $0.00 for helping me out would help. For over a month now I have been getting jerked around. Calls are not returned and excuses pile up.

So I figure calling Toyota's hotline looking for assistance might help. Wouldn't you know the customer service representative was disinterested and not helpful. They promised to submit the complaint to the customer service manager at the dealer. The same guy that cannot take care of getting the problem fixed.

My opinion is that you should avoid this dealer. I wish I had.

Boy, that sounds both annoying and not-surprising. Here's an idea, get a posterboard and write "Still waiting for a repair/part for my NEW CAR" and tape it to the back - pull into the customer parking and go in and sit down until somebody offers to rectify the situation.

That is very annoying. Unfortunately, some car dealers will put things like interior hardware way down on the priority list. If you engine isn't running right, someone on the team has a toolbox and can help.

If you need an interior console, and it's likely the techs will have trouble figuring out how to replace it, bumpkus. Good luck.
