Care South of Georgia Complaint - Said one thing did another

GEORGIA -- I care for people who can not care for themselves. I had a dr. call in Care South to HELP monitor my clients health care, by way of an automated system, where when the client is hooked up in an O2 meter, blood pressure, or the client's weighing in every morning it is monitored by RN's in Atlanta. Well, so much for the 24 monitoring system. My client was not feeling well, and my client wanted me to take the blood pressure, it was very low we will say 100/46 I took it again 30 minutes later 86/40... I felt like I was sitting there watching someone die in front of me. Te client would not let me call for an ambulance unless they called, and told my client to go to the hospital. When I did leave that day, due to the client's family had come home from work, a 2-1/2 hour window had gone by, with NO call. The blood pressure was sent right to those RN's that "closely" monitor the internet system. WOW... guess if my client had died, I would have advised the family that I not only called her family Dr. with no call back, when I had given them her blood pressure on the phone, but I had called Care South and was put on hold, advised them before they put me on hold what the clients BP was, I hung up after % mins. on hold. This system does not work if this is what you CARE SOUTH call caring for your clients.

I assume you've advised the client's family and doctor about this. They may wish to find another company to provide monitoring assistance.
