Motel 6 Complaint - Poor Service/Accommodations
Well, after traveling 460 miles I stopped at the Motel 6 in Eugene/Springfield North, Oregon. I had a one night reservation and was looking forward to some rest. When I arrived, I received a room that had no fridge, coffee maker, or microwave. These were expected because they had been promised. I had medication that had to be refrigerated. I requested a downstairs room, got an upstairs room. The heat had been turned OFF for the season, room was very cold, and space heaters that were offered (per sign in office) were not available when requested. It was cold and rainy and the room offered no comfort at all! The front desk had a 'take it or leave it' attitude. Well, for $58 I decided I could leave it. I loaded my truck with my belongings and went to the front desk and checked out. They gave me a refund but did ask if I had used anything. What was there to use??? Anyway, for a bit more money I could have stayed at a motel that takes more pride in its customer service. As it was, I attended the meeting that I drove there for (6 pm meeting) and then headed out of town towards home. I stopped at the first rest stop and slept in my car. I can highly recommend the rest stops in Oregon. They are beautiful!! Better than Motel 6 for sure! And they are free!
