Ashley Furniture Complaint - If You Want Terrible Customer Service and Have Plenty of Time Ashley Furniture is For You!
ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- We found some furniture we wanted to purchase. Total price was approximately $3,000 for which we were paying CASH. At Ashley Furniture the sales associate writes each item, with sku and price line by line with ink and a calculator! Then you pay him. So after 30-minutes of watching the salesman try to figure pricing, tax, etc. your done right? WRONG!!! You are then given a "Beeper" (like in a restaraunt) and the salesman takes his paperwork to a counter where they enter it into the system. But be patient! You must wait your turn. After ONE HOUR I got fed up and went to the counter to complain. The lady behind the counter told me "I don't even know who you are" when I told her and that I had been waiting an hour (in addition to the 30 minutes for my salesman to figure everything out) she replied "Everyone waits here". At that I had enough and demanded my money back and left the store. Oh by the way - it was going to be 2 1/2 weeks to receive my furniture! We went to Haverty's today - quality was MUCH better and price was about the same. An by the way - it took 10-minutes to check out AND I will have furniture delivered within 7 days! Bad service, Bad Price, Bad Attitudes - Why would anyone shop Ashley Furniture????
