Millennium Toyota Hempstead NY Complaint - Used Car Managers
I purchased a car at Millennium Toyota in Hempstead NY on Friday 5/27/11. I live out of state and I had my son who lives in NY set up the deal for me. I got a call back late Friday from Elissa in the finance department to say that she will send me the paperwork via FedEx, and all that was left for me to do was to get the insurance. Since it was the beginning of the holiday weekend, Elissa told me that I should receive the paperwork n Tuesday, 5/31/11. I secured the insurance on Monday, and call Elissa on Tuesday to get the title holder so it could be added to the insurance policy. I was given the run around. I left a message for her to return my call which she never did. I asked to speak to the manager, and he could not or would not come to the phone. When I finally got through to Elissa, I had to call the dealership back without giving my name, she told me they sold the car yesterday, but it wasn't her fault. She said the used car sales department had the authority to re-sale the car. I asked her to give me the name of used car sales manager. She very reluctantly gave me the first names of the managers. I told her that I was not going to call them, I just wanted their full names. She then gave me the full names of the used car managers, Andrew and Josuha.
I asked my son to go and pick up my $100 deposit. He when there and was admittedly was very upset, and showed it. He was told they couldn't get the deposit back in cash.
