Renteltelecom.com Complaint - Customer service, terms of service

I ordered service from them on 2/17/11. I was told it would only take 5 to 10 days to be turned on. Also I would have 1000 long distance minutes until I filled out a lifeline form. I t took them a month to turn my service on and no long distance minutes. They said it was because my zip code was not my zip code. I've lived in this area for 20 years.

Also they said I was misinformed about the 1000 minutes. If I had to do this over, I would not go with this company.

Never heard of this company before, but Google says they offer low income phone service. Have you checked with your local utility office to see if there is any assistance you can get through them vs having to deal with an inept company like Renttelecom? Good luck.
