La Tierra Interiors Inc. Bernallilo, NM Complaint - Terrible Granite Installation
BERNALLILO, NEW MEXICO -- These people are a company we went to thru DirectBuy. The initial contact was very professional. Downhill from there. That sold two people the same slab, so I had to go out and pick another. OK, that was fixed. They said someone would be out in a couple of days to do the template for the kitchen countertop. I was a week and a half. Guy was very professional. Was to be 7 to ten working days for the install. No one called to confirm so I called. finally received a call back from the scheduling person. She said we were setup for the next Tues. and she would call to verify on Fri. No call. Death in the family on Monday. Tried to reach these people all day to see if we were set for the install so I could leave on Wed. to go to the funeral. Could not get the scheduler to call back and just let me know so I could now how to proceed. Called and spoke with the Receptionist and explained I needed to know so I could make travel arrangements, she said she would verify and call me back. No Call! Called the next morning and finally got the scheduler and only because I had left a message for the GM at the end of the previous day. We rescheduled. They showed up on time. Did the install, looked great. Next day I notice a hairline crack where they drilled holes for the faucet. Since I had so much trouble getting phone calls returned I decided to send an email contact about the issue from a link on their website. No response in over a week! Called again left voicemail. No response in 4 hours. Called again. Finally got the scheduler again and she said someone would come and repair the countertop. OK, and what happens down the road? Will it crack again? No apology or explanation either. I will contact DirectBuy.
I guess I may have to contact my credit card company also to try to deny charges, as when you purchase through DirectBuy you have to pay the whole amount upfront instead of just half as in most cases. What a mess.
