10227 CROSSROAD LOOP, TEXAS -- I phoned the claims department today at the Sony repair center in larado Texas, to file a complaint that my mpe player no longer would charge via USB port mode. When I purchased this product on 7/1/2011 I was told it had a one year company warranty, but the repair technican told me that I needed to pay 29.00 For this warranty to be effective.

I told her they were trying to rob me, the product on-line only cost approximately 35.00 And after I go through all the trouble of sending the money that would be more than worth the other 5.00 Totaling 35.00 The cost of a new one."What a rip off".

By chance did you mean 7/1/2010? Either way, you were within the one year. Do you have the warranty information that came with it, like it should have? What does that say? Can you copy that and e-mail that to them?
