Subway Informative - Eat Fresh - NOT
I went recently to the local Subway restaurant to order a sandwich featured that contained Avocado. As the sandwich was being prepared, the sandwich artist noticed they were out of avocado. She went to the refrigerator, and I, fully expecting to see a container of avocado, that was prepared "FRESH" to be pulled out, was somewhat taken aback to see a plastic pouch, of obviously processed avocado, to be taken out and squirted onto the sandwich.
The taste of that avocado was definitely indicative that it was not a fresh product but processed and tasted faintly of oil and spices that one would expect in guacamole.
Overall, I have no complaints with Subway, however, if the company is going to advertise with a motto "Eat Fresh" the expectation of fresh vegetables is not unreasonable.
