Annie's Hallmark and Baldoria Londonderry NH Complaint - Annie's Hallmark and Balldoria Londonderry NH Unethical Business Practices
LONDONDERRY, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I returned some gift items without a receipt, tags and Annie's Hallmark label on all goods in May of 2011 and received a merchandise credit for approx. $82.00. Approx. one month later, on June 2, 2011, I had a visit from the Londonderry, NH police dept. at the request of Annie's Hallmark employee/Mgt. to investigate the returned merchandised for the store felt I stole the merchandise since they could not find proof the items were purchased within their record search which involved review of items purchased within the last two months according the the officer. The items were indeed purchased and receipts were provided to the Londonderry, Police Dept.
I find the business practice of issuing a merchandise credit to a customer and then one month later accusing the customer of stealing the merchandise unprofessional and inappropriate and lack of clear judgment along with poor record keeping practices. I have asked Hallmark Corporate to investigate this incident and to providing training and counseling to the appropriate individuals responsible for these actions as well as a written apology to the customer.
