Alitalia Complaint - Abusive Employees
I had 50,000 points transferred from my American express card to travel on alitalia. The transfer was completed and a confirmation number given. That was five days ago. The airline now says they have no points and terefore my ticket needs to be paid in full by me. I have tried rectifying this for 5 days now.. Over 30 calls, most hang-ups, and over 8 hours of my time. When I was able to speak with someone they were either verbally abusive or ignorant.
Amex has tried also with no results. Actually the manager at Amex was hung up on 12 times then got a dose of abuse himself. I have cancelled my ticked but have lost all my mileage points. Therefore no vacation for me. I have never in my 50 years seen anything like this.
