Hardee's Complaint - Rufusal to honor discount coupon

Review by weesied499 on 2011-06-04
Hardee's prints discount coupons for all their stores and includes this coupon sheet in the local newpapers and we also receive in our mail box. When I tried to use a discount coupon, the server refused to honor the coupon just because I forgot ot mention that I had one when I placed the order. I was treated with disrespect when I paid and received my order.

This Hardee's store number 1502677, treats senior adults with disrespect and are very rude.

the coupon may say on it, to show coupon before ordering. this is common on lots of coupons. also not all stores may accept it. I'm sure it may say that too. very common thing on most coupons.

Timing is critical here..just when did you present the coupon? After you ordered, but before you paid, after you paid, when you were ready to leave?
More information is needed here.

Aren't all Hardee's locations now privately owned rather than being franchises or corporate stores? Seems I remember that taking place when they moved out of our area quite a few years ago.

I agree, azRider. Whenever I want to use a coupon which states 'at participating locations,' I always ask before I order if they will accept it.

Whenever I use a coupon or a gift card at a fast food place, I let them know before I order, just to make sure I can use it there and to make sure they ring up my order correctly.

Did you speak with a manager? Restaurant coupons usually state that they must be presented when placing your order. I don't see why they couldn't politely explain that to you for future reference and accept the coupon. I understand they would have had to void your bill and re-ring it. IMO they exhibited bad business sense.

Any incentive, right or wrong NOT to return to a Hardees is not a BAD thing in my opinion.

My thoughts are exactly along the lines of ript's. +1 and all that.

As George Costanza's dad used to say "It's stupid, is what it is. Stupid!"
