Don Mealy Chevy Hwy 50 Complaint - Turn Signal, Ingintion Switch

Review by jimbophoe557 on 2011-06-04

I have called Don Mealy chevrolet about my turn signal did not cancel the told me to just keep an eye on it. Ok so it don't cancel now what. Then the ingintion switch would not shut off. Got the car off then worked all noght just to install ful pump relay battery tremanals then start car and go home. Took apart the colum found the ingintion cylinder had fallen apart called don mealey Chevy service and JERRY in service said they were having problems with them but no recall so I fixed the problem by re setting the pins inside the cylinder and making more of an knick to spread the metal over the cover more to hold all the pins and springs in. Jerry at don mealey said that in order to fix the problem you have to replace it re key the system and spend a couple hundred while the fix is only about an half hour.

Besides they never fixed the turn signal's now they want me to pay to have it fixed while I bought the car from them. Piss poor service and people skill's

There is a lot of information left out of this starting with the model of car and year.

are you sure the cancel spring in your turn signal lever isn't broken? I had that happen on an OLD car of mine. a 1991 Oldsmobile.

The model and year, as well as how long you have had the car and the mileage, would help a lot in assessing the dealer's responsibility.
