Spirit Airlines Complaint - Beware of deceptive practices from this airline
MIRIMAR, FLORIDA -- If you're smart enough to check a website like this - bless you're heart. I wish I did before booking on this terrible airline.
We paid for extra legroom on our flight. They seated us in the Exit row. My wife has a disability. They knew this when we got on. They made us change seats, but the attendant made no note of it (we didn't know that this was necessary or even possible).
Called their outsourced call center somewhere. They told us that since the attendant made no note of the change, they will not refund the money. We're talking $300 in extra charges.
Then I asked to talk to a Supervisor - who gave me another story.
The Supervisor (of the call center - you'll never get Spirit)told us that since we booked through a travel agent - they didn't have to refund the money - that we should have been notified by them. We did not ask to be placed in the Exit row. We realize that their asking us to leave the Exit row was FAA regulations - not their fault. Refusing to refund charges for goods they did not provide is thievery - plain and simple.
