Freightquote.com Complaint - FREIGHTQUOTE Terrible for Commercial Freight - Incapable Clods
LENEXA, KANSAS -- We ship building materials through 3 or 4 states in the North East. One of their reps called me once a month for many months, wasn't pushy, just hopeful we would try their freight services. We have 5 to 10 truckloads per week which our factories cannot handle, so I tried FREIGHTQUOTE based on all their promises that we would never regret it. Booked 11 full truckloads to deliver through FREIGHTQUOTE in the CT, NJ & PA areas and I regretted it from the 1st truck on.
They sent the wrong type of truck (box truck instead of flatbed), did not even have a pallet jack onboard (which they swore each truck would), promised 3 out of 4 trucks would arrive to one location on a Friday with the last to arrive on Monday; Only 1 truck arrived on Friday and now it looks like no trucks will arrive Monday because at least one of our factory vendors refuses to load any more of their trucks unless its the flatbeds promised which they now say they can't get in time...
Similar problem now with another location they were supposed to deliver to. DO NOT use these guys, they're just a huge broker, which there's nothing wrong with if you have no time constraints, are shipping small amounts and don't care what kind of trucks. HOWEVER: Anyone thinking of using these guys for full truckload commercial (lumber, masonry, metals, etc.) WALK AWAY & DON'T EVEN CONSIDER USING FREIGHTQUOTE.
I've learned my lesson (very expensive, cost me average $500 per truck plus I may have lost these two big customers now) and am working with more local/regional direct trucking companies that specialize in flatbeds and own hundreds of their own trucks. A bargain is not a bargain when you're in business with time constraints and the shipper (FREIGHTQUOTE) does not deliver when promised and brings the wrong trucks - The cost to the contractors on site was considerable; Crews standing around doing nothing because materials didn't arrive, crane rented for the day which was wasted and now has to be re-rented on another day.
I couldn't give FREIGHTQUOTE A LOWER SCORE, hard to image how any company could screw up a sizeable order (with lots of repeat business to come) so badly. The representative is trying to keep us on with more lies, as he knows we could easily be shipping 20 or 30 trucks a week with them if things went smooth but NO WAY! Gotta cut my losses; Too many problems with them as a broker vs being an actual trucking company and I WON'T PUT UP WITH ANYONE IN BUSINESS WHO FAILS TO DELIVER & LIES ABOUT MULTIPLE ISSUES!!!! B-U-L-L S-_-I-T!!!!! Completely unreliable & dishonest, stay away from FreightQuote.
