Monticello Casino Complaint - Valet Parking Policy
MONTICELLO, NEW YORK -- Visited Monticello Casino recently. I do like this casino. That being said, I want to give a heads up about their valet parking "policy". I valet parked my car and when I got back in the car I noticed my passenger seat was pulled all the back, clearly someone was sitting in this seat. I was by myself and it so happened that the person who parked my car and returned it to me was a tall person. I called security when I was already on the road back home. I told them that someone was (most likely) sitting in the passenger seat and that what I had on the seat, which was a cd and cell phone headset, was gone. I didn't want to accuse this person and thought maybe it fell to the floor. Long story short, the valet manager was rude, uncaring, and said over and over...."Read the back of your valet slip - we are not responsible for damage or theft". Really? So I asked, "Are you saying that there is no responsibility on the casino to make good for items that are taken out of cars or damage to cars? Her answer, "Yes.".
Wow. That was an eye-opener. I paid $3 for valet parking and tipped this guy $5. Beware when you valet park your car.
