Sears Complaint - Lack of coordination on delivery item.
We purchased a Sears 21 HP 42 inch hydrostat mower from Sears 5/17/11. We were told that it would take 3 weeks to order and delivered. Three weeks later we were called and verified that we would receive it at a specific time the next day. It never arrived. We called Sears and they informed me that it would be another 3 weeks since it was back-ordered. I told them that I needed a mower immediately and if they would change the order but for the same price. I drove 24 miles into Sears that evening and the purchase was changed to a 24 HP 42 inch Sears with footpedal hydrostat which they had in stock. They informed me that it would be a week before it could be delivered, I agreed. The next week, the delivery was verified but again it was cancelled saying that the mower was sent up to Romeoville, Illinois. My grass is about a foot high and I only have a 21" mower to mow it with but was waiting for this mower to be delivered. Sears doesn't even know where it is now and is of now help what-so-ever.
I've never seen such mass confusion in such a company. In the last 6 months, or so, we have purchased a dryer, stove, refrigerator, and a dishwasher. I will never purchase from Sears again with the response that we have failed to receive from this transaction. One hand definitely doesn't know what the other is doing.
