NEW ENGLAND -- While bidding on Ebay, on a Rotel AV receiver. I saw that I was going to have to bid quite high, so I asked the seller "capeannaudio", if the "new" product had a warranty. The product description had no reference to a warranty, only new. I had a bad experience int the past with a seller, selling "new" as used and got screwed. My question was not out of line in anyone's world. Well, not only did I get a nasty and weird response, the jerk retracted my bid! He stated thst I should rely on customer feeback posted to his account.

I wish I could have read this first. I wouldn't have wasted my time on him. Yes I agree with many who posted compliants. He should be put in a straight jacket!

Cape Ann Audio is notorious for this type of behavior, there are quite a few complaints here. And FYI....he probably blocked you from bidding on his auctions too, although I'm pretty sure your not planning on buying from him after this incident.

Agree with samanthasmom.

You can figure out pretty easily that something is askew with the merchandise from capeannaudio. You can also see that the seller has plenty of business since he can cast off customers like you. There are enough people who don't ask questions to keep him happy. Kind of like Dell computer.

If I were looking for what he sells, and considered buying from him, I would count on NO warranty, NO returns. In other words, treat the purchase like a parking lot lift-gate special in Newark NJ.

This guy blocks anyone who asks a simple question about his products. I have seen enough reviews about it.

"new" ???? My, my, my.....it would seem you don't think it's new. eBay has a Feedback System, and we suggest you check the opinions of our customers when it comes to the accuracy of our items. Next, do you always ask questions AFTER placing your LEGALLY BINDING bid?? And as to the 'tone' of your question, it's also obvious you could NEVER be happy doing business with us. So, don't.

Wow. I guess they don't need new business then. Talk about bad customer service. It's amazing they even have business.
