Hotel Mozart Rome Italy Complaint - Beware of Hotel Mozart
ROME -- MAY 9TH. HOTEL MOZART (VIVALDI APTS. ROME ITALY, Upon arrival to the rental apartment, we observed that it was extremely dirty in all rooms.
Waste baskets were filled with debris, bathrooms were very dirty, bedsheets had blood stains on them, pillow cases had hair on them, fake eye lashes were found on pillows. Floors were also very dirty. Certainly, the apartment had not been cleaned. On the same day, shower off master bedroom would only work with scalding hot water. Also, Television was not functioning. When we initialy arrived, no one gave us a tour of the apartment nor instructions on workings of the apartment etc. We called the front desk and informed them of the problems. They answered by telling us that “ no one was available until the next day.” ON THE 10TH OF MAY ( LATER IN THE DAY) THE MANAGER CAME WITH GREAT RELUCTANCE TO VIEW THE PROBLEMS. (KEEP IN MIND THE DOWN TIME IN VISITING THE MUSEUMS AND MONUMENTS OF ROME). The cleaning was done later in the day. Also, it should be mentioned that the problem of the hot water regulator was not fixed. Hence, no showers during the duration of the 3 day stay. Security was a problem due to the opened door in the front of the building. At times it was locked, however, there were many instances when it was wide opened.
MAY 11TH. THE PROBLEM WITH THE SHOWER WAS NOT RESOLVED AFTER MANY PLEAS WITH THE MANAGER. Also, the 2nd shower was a problem with the sewage backing up in. We were told that “too much water was being used” In fact, the manager also told us not to come back. “Go some place else.”
MAY 12TH, DEPARTED HOTEL BY PAYING BILL AND WRITING ON RECEIPT THAT WE WERE GOING TO FILE A DISPUTE. I have traveled to Italy at least a dozen times and have never had such a problem.
Particularly, the attitude and unfriendly manner of the Manager.
