BLUFFDALE, UTAH -- After signing a contract, and having a verbal contract of a change in the contract, knowing we would be moving into it in 10 days they sold the home we wanted to purchase "the very next day" right out from under us. I think they thought we would be willing to pay much more for the home now that we were perhaps considered "desperate". Please don't trust this group of people. Super sly and deceiving people.
WEST HAVEN, UTAH -- The home was built below grade. It is only 8 years old and has had the basement flood 3 times. The sump pump never stops running, one wall was built leaning to one side and the paint is peeling around all the door frames. We literally found buckets of human waste because they were too cheap to get portable toilets for their workers. They had to dig up a sewer line because it was full of sand after we moved in. I am literally about to just cut my losses and just walk away.
ROY, UTAH -- In our contract it stated that they would put the front yard in, that was signed by the both of us. When we went to hold them accountable for that, they told us that we already got a really good deal on the house and they weren't going to put in the front yard. Good deal or not, they need to follow through, especially since it was in their contract that they had us sign. I would definitely not buy another home from them, or recommend them to anyone.
WEST HAVEN, UTAH -- If you are in the market for a new home, if you like being lied to, if you like sub-standard work, then Castle Creek Homes is the place to go. If you are looking for quality work at a good price and in a reasonable amount of time, go some place else. We were told by this company that we would have our home build in 4 to 5 months, it took 11 months and 3 weeks before we could move in.
They told us about the great quality of their work and the warranty for their work. The bricks in the front of house have falled down no less than 12 times. Then the warranty guy tells us they don't know how to keep them from falling. They have other houses doing the same. The doors leading to the laundry have falled several times. They did not complete the installation of the insulation in the home. The slab is cracking. The towel rack in the master bath has fallen off the wall. The paint on the front door is peeling. The covering on the foundation is cracking and falling off. The back door is pulling away from the fame. I could go on and on.
I would not have a problem with this company if they would just do what they say they will do. We have many items wrong with the house, the warranty guys says he will come and fix but never shows up. That's all we get, empty promises. My advise, stay away from this company if you are in Utah.
