Tried to Return Two Unused Purses for in Store Credit So I Could Buy a Different Purse

MCKINNEY, TEXAS -- I wanted to return two unused purses so I could buy a different purse with in store credit. She told me they never do that. She said I would have to sell the purses back to the store so I would only get about $3 each. She said this without even checking the tags. I spent over $100 on the purses. I go to this store all of the time and they act like they do not even know me. What has happened to customer service?

I bought 188.00 worth of merchandise from this store. Two purses 40.00 each.

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- My problem with this store is the time they open I brought stuff to sale they said they are not buying anything. After I was told to bring my things to sell. So I went to Hubbards Lane and they did not want to buy my purses. They didn't take this one style and that the yellow coach bag had a ink mark on it. So on derby weekend I went back to the Hikes Lane store, looked around and I bought $188.00 worth of stuff. One other purse had a spot on it. I returned it the next day with the tags still on the items. The cashier was very rude. She said "We can take the two blouses back but not the purse because we don't refund them."

When I bought the purses the cashier never said that because I would not have paid 40.00 for a purse with a spot on it. The when I tried to sell my things at the Hubbards Lane store they said they don't' buy certain purses at Hikes. They had all kinds of bags that were not designer bags. Also if they have a no return policy on purses that you still pay quite a bit for they should put a sign around the purses. The rudeness is very unprofessional and she made me feel like she didn't want my business because I was black.

Our return policy is very clearly represented on the receipt in clear and legible lettering inside of a large, bold box at the bottom. There are no returns on accessories and since we are a resale store, there will occasionally be signs of wear. It is the responsibility of the consumer to carefully inspect their potential purchases before completing the transaction. Our Buyers do their best to ensure that everything we buy is in ‘like-new' condition.
