Flavored Coffee
By -

NORTHFORD, CONNECTICUT -- I read some opinions on this site about the flavored coffee having sugar in it. A few people felt that it had sugar syrup in it to make the flavor. They felt that the sugar syrup was sugar. One person said that he felt sorry for someone that has diabetes. Other people said that is not true, that the sugar syrup doesn't have sugar in it. Well I'm a diabetic and I liked the hazelnut and cinnamon mixed together. I drank this combination for about six months if not longer. My sugar was under control until I started drinking flavored coffees. Now my doctor wants to put me on insulin. I stopped drinking the flavored coffee and went back to just plain decaf.

I noticed a difference in my blood sugar when I take it. It is a lot lower. I feel it was the flavored coffee that was raising my sugar level. I will have another test on my blood sugar. If my blood level is way down then that only means that there is sugar in the sugar syrup they use and I will have documented proof of it, my health.

Horrible Coffee and Service

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA -- So, I go to the Dunkin Donuts on Mason Ave at 3 am in Daytona. The first time I went, I ordered a caramel latte... So I pull up to the window and after waiting almost 5 minutes the guy comes out and says that he doesn't know how to make a latte. He hands me a cup, which did not even look like a latte and asks me to taste it. I told him it was horrible. It tasted like old coffee with steamed milk in it. I had him make me a regular cup of coffee instead. I thought employees were trained for this kind of stuff?

So, anyway I went back there the other day late at night and I decided to order a regular cup of coffee thinking that they couldn't mess up that order, right? The guy hands me the coffee and I drive away. I go down the road and open the lid and the coffee is cold. It's not even hot. And it tasted like it had been burnt on the pot for several hours and then left cold. It was disgusting. I threw it out. Never buy coffee at 3 am at DD on Mason Ave in Daytona. You'll be disappointed.

Iced Coffee Ripoff!
By -

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK -- So I ordered my small hazelnut iced coffee from the Dunkin Donuts in Brooklyn Heights on Court Street (the one in with the KFC and other restaurants not the one standing alone) by the Court Street subway, and they charged me $2.59 for a small iced coffee. When I asked her why she was charging me for a medium she said "no, the medium is $2.49 and it costs $0.30 for flavor". I was incredulous. What a ripoff. The one down the street is only $1.79. And since when does Dunkin Donuts charge for flavor?! Don't go here. Go to the one down the street. The people are nicer there too.

Don't know their own flavors

PARSIPPANY, NEW JERSEY -- I have frequented different Dunkin Donuts stores in the Morris County area where I work. The one particularly in Parsippany at Parsippany Road gives you whatever kind of coffee they want. I have gone numerous times and asked for Hazelnut coffee and I have gotten everything but. I tell them that it's not Hazelnut, they take it back, give me another and it's the same thing (French Vanilla).

So I decided to visit the new Dunkin Donuts on Smith Road also in Parsippany and they do exactly the same thing. I have French Vanilla instead of what I asked for. It's simply no use. The only DD that has given me exactly what I ask for is the DD on route 46 in Parsippany. Hazelnut tastes and smell very sweet. I always get coffee that has no smell and taste very bland at the other 2 locations. On top of that, the coffee taste burnt. Do they clean the coffee pots?

Large vs Small
By -

HIGHLAND PARK, NEW JERSEY -- Today, I was using a 99 cent coupon for a medium ice coffee and the employee mistakingly gave me a small one. When I pointed this out, another employee took the small iced coffee, poured it into a medium cup with ice (enough ice so the medium cup was now full) and handed me the "medium" iced coffee. I looked at him incredulously (as did the others in line) and asked "That's it? Doesn't a medium iced coffee have more coffee than a small iced coffee?" "No", he told me. "They have the same amount of coffee."

I've been suspicious for a long time that I was being cheated by the amount of ice you put into the cups, but now I have proof. The only difference between a small, medium, and large iced coffee is the amount of ice! That's quite expensive ice I'm paying for when I get a large. From now on, I'm buying a small iced coffee and asking for an empty large cup. I'll make the transfer myself and then ask for extra ice. Shame on you, Dunkin Donuts, for being so blatant in cheating your customers.

Horrible Experience

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- Went to my local Dunkin Donut shop just at 6 am when they were getting ready to open. I ordered two coffees but neglected to add without grinds so my two coffees were full of grinds made them impossible to drink. Actually made me sick to my stomach to the point we had to pull off the road. Enough about the coffee, also ordered two sandwiches one was supposed to be on a bagel but was not, so not only could I not drink my coffee I could not eat my sandwich either. A waste of my hard earned dollars.

Also my thermos was supposed to be white and it was black. What a surprise... Not. After the events of the am will never go to that store again. I will go out of my way to go to another store but will only give them one chance. Would like to have coupons to offset the money I wasted.

I Love Dunkin Donuts

MOUNTAINTOP, PENNSYLVANIA -- I live and work in NE PA and I have stopped at a few different Dunkin Donuts shops in our area. One is located in Scranton PA and another in Mountaintop PA, as well as one in downtown Wilkes Barre. I have always received excellent friendly service, hot delicious tasting coffee, and fresh tasty donuts. No complaints from me about this company, their service, or their products.

I am going to have to let Jon Luther, the CEO of the company, know about this site though and some of the concerns that you good folks have with his company, their service, and food products. He does take customer's concerns and complaints very seriously. I will let you know his thoughts once I hear back from him.

Occasional Leaking Coffee Cups
By -

Overall the coffee and service is good, but more frequently than I would expect, the coffee cup just starts leaking as if the heat just creates a hole in the bottom of the cup. This usually creates quite a mess of coffee going everywhere. In this day of conservation I tend to think the quality of the cups Dunkin Donuts is using is deteriorating.
This happens to me at more than one location in Southern Mass. So I would think that it is happening to other people also. Thank you for the opportunity to express my complaint.

Broken Handle Off Coffee Mug

MASSACHUSETTS -- I purchased a brown small Dunkin Donuts plastic coffee mug in Salem MA. While I was drinking coffee from this mug the handle came unglued and the mug fell to the floor. Fortunately the hot had cooled down a bit and I did not burn myself. I returned the mug and handle to the Dunkin Donuts store I purchased from and they gladly replaced it. This is something you should be aware of for the future purchase of this product...
