MINNESOTA -- Cancelled order after a couple days for no reason and order was confirmed. Had no book for class. Did they over sell or the price go up....who knows? A third party emailed and said too bad we cancelled your order. Some made up thing about security.
MINNESOTA -- I shipped them my text book a month ago. They just got back to me, and said they won't buy my book from me without giving me a reason. Now I have to fight them to return the book that they supposedly didn't want back to me. Big mistake to do business with them. I will be filing a claim at the Better Business Bureau.
I ordered a book from these people, using their checkout service and (maybe stupidly) electing to send payment by USPS postal money order. Sent them the money order in the full amount they calculated on their "checkout" page, sending it to the address they gave me to send it to. I included in my letter to them their checkout page. Book didn't arrive. Went to their site to send e-mail inquiry. What a joke! Automated site that wouldn't accept complaint. O.K., sent (nice) complaint letter, basically where's my stuff. No response, ever, to anything I ever sent them, but they did cash my money order. Thieves is what these people are. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
MARTINEZ, CALIFORNIA -- This is the first time I have used eCampus.com I did not buy a book from them, but instead took part in their "textbook buyback" which claims to take 4-6 weeks. It does say that in "peak" buyback times, refunds can fall outside of this time frame, but 15 weeks?! I basically wrote off my textbook as a loss after repeatedly emailing the company asking about the status of my book. They did not reply to my emails, but 15 after I shipped the book to them, I finally got my check.
Personally, I think it would have been quicker if someone from the company just walked from house to house hand delivering them. I am glad that I finally got my money, but their extensive processing time and LACK of communication makes them lose major brownie points in my book. I don't think I will use them again for textbook buy back, and I'm a bit apprehensive about actually making a purchase with them! How long would THAT take?
I ordered a book from ecampus.com on 1/22. I picked standard shipping which according to their site states that it takes 3-7 business days. I emailed them on 2/6 to let them know that I still had not received the book. They responded a day later telling me that it takes 13-14 days even though in their site clearly states otherwise. I responded on 2/8 to ask them for a refund which I still have not received.
It is now 2/13 and I still don't have my book or my money. I had no choice but to call my credit card company and file a complaint. This is the first complaint that I have ever filed with a credit card company. Stay far away from this site if you don't want to get scammed!
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY -- Very upset - ordered a textbook 5 days ago, they took my money, and now today I get an email that my order has been cancelled because the book isn't available. They sell books they don't even have! Now I'm 5 days closer to my deadline and don't even have a book ordered. My money should show up in 2-3 days.
