2002 F-250 Lariat 4 Door Turbo Diesel 7.3 Truck Bed Rotted
By -

JEROME, MICHIGAN -- I have a 2002 F-250 super duty Lariat and I clean it all the time and it never sees dirt roads. Well both sides of my bed at the wheel wells are rotted. The driver side is worse. This shouldn't be happening. I see it happens more on the 2002's than any other year. Also they put junk shock on these trucks and the front sway bar bushing to, they wear out right away and clunk like an old 65 pickup when you hit a bump. I think Ford should pay to fix the bed. This is not good! I am not very happy. A new bed isn't cheap either and that's what I would like.

Leaking Transmission Lines
By -

PENFIELD, NEW YORK -- First let me say I'm sorry for all the F250 buyers with the 5.4. I have had to replaced both transmission lines that connect to the radiator of my 2005 F250 with 29000 miles on it. The incompetent design of the system as well as using steel tubing in the configuration in my opinion led to the premature rusting and perforation of the tubing and fittings into the radiator inlet and outlet. I found a work around after the idiots at the dealer told me Ford does not sell the connector fittings on the radiator. "They" the ** Ford engineers said you have to replace the radiator if the fittings go bad.

Mind you the fittings are threaded and can be removed. This is another case where Ford is screwing its customers. This is only one of my complaints with regard to this POS Ford F250 and I feel sorry for all the other Northern Owners that will be screwed into a new radiator.

One other note, as I was refilling the tranny fluid I found out that the filler tube that runs along the right side of the engine had rusted and perforated leaving a puddle of transmission oil on the ground. Be aware. The Ford dealers response... "So sorry!" My response, no more Fords for me.

I have a 2008 f-250 4x4 4d. I had 2600 miles on it & the motor went out. Now it has 14000 miles & I brought it back to Ford dealership. I think it will need a motor for the 2nd time. I just want what I paid for. Ford sucks.

Ford 250 Diesel --- A bad joke
By -

Beware the quality and service you will get if you purchase a Ford. I bought a new 2004 F2506 LTR diesel. The truck never carried more than 1000 lbs and within 30 months the box supports failed and the box shifted requiring it to be jacked into place and reinforcements to be welded in place. Today I have a cracked head with only 161,300 km on the truck. Ford's response... "not our problem". Note their guarantee is 160,000 km. So if you are unfortunate to own one get it checked out prior 160,000 and sell it.
