LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- Because Humana decided not to keep Promedica hospitals in network I lost the Doctor who saved my left foot 8 times and now I am losing the Doctor who is treating me for bladder cancer. I thought insurance was about the patients and not egos!!
Today Saturday at 2 pm Pacific time, I tried to return a call we received from RightSource phone number (855) 250-7660. The representative who answered my call, his name is Kelli, refused to honor the power of attorney that they on file have from my wife to me (Conversation record ref # **). He said, "this medical power of attorney allows me only to verify address." Why people make medical power of attorney to spouse? This Humana is been nothing but headache. They are going to give me heart attack. You out there learn from my suffering.
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY -- Humana often (though not always) is able to fill tablet medications without delay, but they almost never send my 90-day insulin supply without some kind of hang up. I call several times and each time get different explanation for why the medicine hasn't shipped and a new date to expect shipping. The date passes with no shipment and the whole process starts over again. Nearly ran out of insulin completely last time, before I contacted the Board. They triggered some kind of crisis management response; nonetheless it took a few days to get pharmacy action.
Humana Medicare agent came to my home to drop off some booklets, which Humana refused to mail to me and insisted one of the high-pressure sales agents come into my house to hard-sell their worthless policies. The agent became insulting and told me I'm not her client and to find another agent. I didn't ask for her to come to my house, they insisted, to send her to drop off a booklet which they REFUSED to send me in the mail. Their agents are low paid trash and sleazeballs, she told me I'm nothing but trouble and drove off.
NEWBURGH, INDIANA -- The worst insurance company I have experience. They want to charge me $387 for one month supply or $880 for three month supply and it generic. This is only one medicine, I take seven medicine. My monthly medicine cost is $1860. I try to call Medicare but they couldn't help me. I have written to my congress and the President. Never never never to Humana. Why the government is not doing something to this companies. I can wait until October to change it.
I switched from CVS to Humana. What a huge mistake. They constantly claimed my doctor wasn't responding - my doctor claims he was. They would cancel orders without notification. They had my doctor's fax number wrong on numerous occasions. When I asked to escalate a call I was told "management" or "leadership" would get back to me - they never did. Avoid Humana's on-line pharmacy like the plague!
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA -- My Mother has been very sick after catching a flesh eating bacteria from Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. She has received the worst care and been refused basic services like rehab! I have had so many issues with them that I will be building a website over the next year to aid others in their struggle. Here is my almost 2 hour video review of this horrible medical insurance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZpwkf-deHE
FLORIDA -- I have been trying to get my routine medicines for Parkinson's and each time I call them that the order is coming but then I get an email that they are waiting for my doctor. My doctor says they have spoken to Humana several times yet they deny it. Their customer service is horrendous.
DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS -- The sales agent lied to me on my plan. You don't get an info packet, just insurance card, none of the doctors you're allowed to see take the insurance and when I call for help no speaks understandable English. I have no money to pay the bills they were supposed to cover. This is ** to pay for something that doesn't work.
NORTH CAROLINA -- My mother was in generally good health and we decided to gamble on the cheaper Humana Advantage plan one year. That was the year she had a bleeding stroke. Our gamble did not pay off well. By the end of the year we had to come up with $3000 out of pocket.
