USA, CALIFORNIA -- How I wish I did some research before booking the tour with Joy Holiday via taketours.com.

We booked a 7-days tour from Las Vegas, Los Angeles to San Francisco. The first two days spent in LV was okay (I tried to be as linear as I can despite their unprofessional service) until we had to change to another different bus with another tour guide named Tommy. His English is terrible; he couldn't explain clearly what the service or option they offer. When I first booked the trip online, I read the itinerary and saw there are two different options for the day in San Diego:
San Diego city tour $65
San Diego city tour + Sea world $150

After checking the price for the Sea World's ticket, I know it will cost $70 for only booking and $90 if you buy from their ticketing office. So the $150 for both the services make sense to me. And so we choose it as we think we will have a chance to experience 2 activities on the day.

But then when we asked the tour guide, he said we don't have time to join the city tour with other guests and go to SeaWorld as well, so he left us at SeaWorld San Diego from 9 am to 5.30 pm. I tried to contact taketours.com as I made my booking from this website as I think this may be not the tour guide's mistake but the operation of Joy Holiday itself. But what I received is terrible. They forward to me the message from the tour guide saying that we never say anything to complain about the tour with him, it means that we are happy with the service. What I want to know here is, why didn't they answer my question about the activities that we supposed to have. If I knew I couldn't get to join the city tour from the beginning, I wouldn't pay $150 for the SeaWorld ticket, you know it's ridiculous buying a ticket which cost $80 extra if you buy it yourself.

They are lack of moral, no ethic in doing the business. The tour guide is too stupid to understand what complain means. He texted me personally saying "I don't understand why you complain about me."
The whole company of Joy Holiday so sucks, and taketours. com do nothing to protect you. And there is no apologies or explanation on what happened. They are just so poor, and they need your money. Shame on them! And beware when you want to book any tour from this agency.

No One Came to Pick Me for the Scheduled Tour and Now I Am Not Reimbursed

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA -- I had booked 7 days tour to Yellowstone through Take Tour site that was by Joy Holiday. I reached my pick up location 25 min before scheduled time. Noon came to pick me at 7 am that was the scheduled time. I called Joy Holiday and they gave me another no. I kept on calling that number however no one received my call. I kept on checking with every tour guide that came to pick passengers to check my name in list.

After about 1 hr, all the passengers were taken away and I was the only one standing there. I came back home and told them to reimburse. No one even had the courtesy to call me and inform. Later on they are giving the reason that they could not come due to traffic. I had taken 5 days vacations for this tour and my billing did not happen. Now they are not agreeing to pay me the 5 days vacations I have lost. I could never imagine that such a things can happen and this is how its dealt later on so guys be careful when you book trips through them.

Be Careful When Selecting Travel Agency!!

MILLBRAE, CALIFORNIA -- My family did not want to drive, so I called the JOY HOLIDAY for a 2 day bus tour and PAID the full amount. Guess what, WE DID NOT GO!! Here is what happened: In their website, they show a big bus while they actually drive a smaller vehicle for 2 day tour. However, they did not inform me that. About two days before our departure, the agent called us and said we could not go because the vehicle was too small to carry ten persons. And we were the last group of joining the tour, so we must give up. THAT IS WHEN I KNEW THEY ACTUALLY DROVE A SMALLER CAR, not the bus shown on their website.

Although we already prepared for the trip, we did not trust them any more, so we decided to get full refund instead of changing dates. The agent said they would mail out my check in two days. However, I did not receive it and so a week later, I called them. Guess what, they did not even sent out my check. I am not sure how long they would hold my money if I did not call them. OVERALL, JOY HOLIDAY IS A POOR TRAVEL AGENCY!! If you have a choice, don't use their service. Here is their contact information, don't be fooled!!
