LA, CALIFORNIA -- Booked a hotel on Orbitz. Solely a hotel, I was charged an extra fee of $319 that was unknown to me and I lost money - $75 for overdraft fees. My bank penaltied me for not having sufficient funds in my account. I needed that money for groceries and starved for about a week cause I couldn't by food. Still a week later Orbitz is making charges on my card. Customer service is not helpful and uncaring. Never book with Orbitz. Ever ever ever ever. Causes more stress, it advertises to relieve.

I have used Orbitz car rental services for many years and have been satisfied. However, DO NOT RENT HERTZ vehicles from Orbitz. Hertz does not honor the quotes given by Orbitz and it takes an "act of Congress" to get the charges adjusted. It is not worth any perceived "savings" to go with Hertz. They over-bill, over-charge and won't respond to Orbitz when Orbitz attempts to verify/correct the billings. Choose one of the other car rental companies.

Orbitz gave me travel documents that had no information on it regarding the fact that I had purchased insurance and there was no customer service phone number to call. The rental company said I hadn't purchased insurance. I could not confirm this due to the uninformative travel documents and lack of customer service by Orbitz. With Orbitz, the customer is always wrong. Read other reviews before dealing with Orbitz.

They kept me on hold for 2 hours and made a false promise that my flight has been cancelled. But still they charged me and I didn't even get a credit. This happened thrice and am not going to use Orbitz again in my life.

I had some issues with Dollar Rent A Car overcharging me for insurance that I'd already purchased through Orbitz when making the reservation. Dollar refused to resolve the matter. Orbitz was very responsive and their insurance company (Access America) refunded the insurance money, (even though it was Dollar's mistake). I've gotten great rates through Orbitz and had good experiences with my reservations. This was the first problem and they worked quickly to resolve the issue. Thanks Orbitz!

Orbit charged our credit card without our permission for a hotel reservation. When we arrived at the hotel we paid on another credit card, at a rate about 30% lower than Orbitz. Orbitz refuses to credit our account.
