I ordered a shed from Home Depot who uses Sheds USA as their supplier. I made several calls to Sheds USA about an installation date, I was told, "We do not have a date yet. Call back in 3 days". This went on for over 6 weeks, I had to call them. They never called me. I finally received an installation date (2 months after by purchase date). I received a call from Sheds USA on the morning the shed was to be installed and they canceled the installation for no reason. I was told I would receive a call back that evening with a new date, surprise no callback. I received a call 2 days later saying the shed was scheduled to be installed on Saturday which was only 2 days away. I agreed to the date, when Saturday came we waited and waited for the shed, Sheds USA was a NO SHOW.
I received an E-mail from Sheds USA on Sunday saying please activate your shed warranty. When I called Monday to say my shed was not installed on Saturday they seemed surprised. I was told, "We will get back to you shortly with a new installation date". I then called Home Depot who I had purchased the shed from to cancel the order. I was told I had to call Sheds USA to cancel even though I purchased the shed from Home Depot with my Home Depot Credit Card. I called Sheds USA to cancel and the lady said, "We are working on a new install date for you". I stated I have waited over 2 months and want to cancel the order. I don't know who to blame Sheds USA or Home Depot for using them as their shed supplier.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- This company is a joke!!! I ordered a lawn shed thru Home Depot and within 24 hours of being contacted by Sheds USA, which is really a cover name for a third party seller and installer Home Brands, I immediately canceled the order. They tell you it's an easy process. They take care of everything, that is a lie, they do nothing except want to show up and build without doing any work beforehand.
I was told they would contact me then come to my house and inspect the site where it was to be installed. Instead I got an e-mail asking me a bunch of questions about site preparation, then it wouldn't accept my answers, and when I tried call them it kept saying the number was invalid, when I finally got a person she was an ** with an attitude. If I have to measure, flag, and level the site for the shed, what the hell am I paying you for? Complete joke of a company and since it's a third party installer they will take no legal responsibility for things done wrong. Stay away!!!
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- I bought a 8x12 Classic shed in vinyl siding from the Home Depot in my area and just got the shed installed 10 days ago. I originally called in the order and the office staff was terrific. All my questions and concerns were answered and I thought I fully understood how the entire installation process works. Well, when the installers got out to build the shed and it was done in less than 3 hours, I realized I didn't completely understand the process. I thought they would be there all day.
Only one issue with the installation. A piece of the vinyl siding got cracked. The installer came back the next day and replaced that piece, so I'm fully happy with the job they did. I recommend these company to anyone looking for a shed.
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I just got my second shed installed from this company and am very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the professional way I have been treated. I felt like a pro ordering the second shed because I knew the process so my ordering experience was great. I got the shed I ordered with all the accessories I ordered and had no problems. I was home during the install this time and watched the installers from my kitchen window. I'm amazed at how quickly they put the shed up. When the installers were done with the shed they gave me a tour of my new shed before they left and answered all of my questions. Very satisfied!
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I have one of these Sheds. Top Dollar for Bottom rated Service. I have a small hole in the vinyl siding of my shed. I called to purchase a piece of Vinyl to replace it. I was called today telling me it would be $132 dollars. When I inquired for what I was told it would be $7.00 for the part and $125.00 for labor. I replied that I didn't need the labor and only the part. They told me I could go to HomeDepot and purchase something close in color but it wouldn't match. The only way for me to get a matching piece would be to pay the labor charge of $125.00. POOR SERVICE!
Misunderstanding, Company stepped up and resolved the situation.
Never again will I deal with this company. I spent a lot of money on an add on package which was forgotten at the original install. Over two months later, many promised dates where no one showed up, and a very unhappy 3 year old, no one showed up again. No call either. Extremely unprofessional. I have been working with the AREA MANAGER and she clearly can't even make anything happen. Extremely disappointed and would never recommend this company to anyone. I wish I would have researched more prior to purchasing.
SEEKONK, MASSACHUSETTS -- I ordered this shed with a certain color and black shingles ended up with grey shingles that does not match my house. I was very unhappy but they are not going to do anything to fix it even though I ordered it and paid for it.
FAIRFAX STATION, VIRGINIA -- We originally ordered a hideaway 6x8 hideaway shed in April with "the works" and a few more options. In May we received a call from USA sheds explaining that our shed was too small to accommodate our options so we agreed to increase the size to a 8x8 with 7 ft walls to accommodate the loft. Installers were great, yet they explained that the shed was too short to allow for the loft. I measured the shed and realized that the wrong size shed was built. The first call to USA sheds resulted in an apology for the mistake with statement of what should be done to resolve the problem and a call from scheduling.
After a week delay, I called scheduling and was told that they were busy, that I had the right shed and if they had time that they call back. A trip to the Home Depot resulted in the manager asking that I await his call in four days. On the fifth day I reviewed the contract and saw that if I had any problems with the store or contractor to call the Regional Customer Care to discuss. I called the regional Home Depot Customer ans was given a reference number.
The consultant stated that she would contact the contractor and the home store and discussed resolution. Two days later we received a call stating that they plan to remove the roof, replace the front to put on the right size door and add a foot of wall space to the existing walls then add siding and put on a new roof. We have agreed to this plan and will schedule the "re-build" for mid-July. I believe that if I had not contacted Customer Care, I would still be getting the runaround with the company and home store which charged us for both sheds. Had I not requested a credit I would have paid for two sheds. Will write an update after the "fix".
Home Depot has a consumer affairs division that advocated for us. In the fine print on Home Depots contracts, it provides phone numbers to contact. My shed was taken apart today, a new door was installed, a new loft, new roof and a one foot with new siding around the shed. I now have the shed that I ordered. Three months later, but now done.
