No Problems With My 4.0l.

OCALA, FLORIDA -- I purchased a re-manufactured 4.0L H.O. engine from Titan in April, 2016 to replace the blown engine in my son's 2001 Wrangler. I have extensive experience in engine rebuilding but I needed an engine for my son fast as he used his Wrangler for his daily driver to work and it would have taken me too long to rebuild one for him.

I drove from North Georgia to Ocala, FL. to pick the engine up when it was ready and I installed it in the Wrangler myself. I followed Titan's break-in instructions exactly and the engine now has over 17K miles with no problems at all. It runs very smooth and has performed flawlessly from day one. Not a single oil or water leak anywhere.

I suspect that people are more likely to write a review when they have problems than when everything is fine. After all, we expect to have a problem free experience. I did not have to deal with a warranty problem so I can't comment on that. Honoring a warranty and trying to provide customer satisfaction would be a major consideration.

I can say that the engine I bought was re-manufactured properly and the workmanship reflects quality and skill on Titan's part. Titan built this engine to my specs and it was ready to pick up when they said that it would be. They also accepted an engine that I had already disassembled as a core without question. My dealings with Titan have been very satisfactory.

Pleased With My Stroker After an Across the Nation Trip

OCALA, FLORIDA -- I purchased a Titan Stroker last year and installed it in my 1999 TJ. I am recently retired and have always wanted to drive across America in a Jeep. I purchased this Jeep and completely went through everything, replacing almost all the parts that could fail, including engine and transmission. I chose the Titan Stroker for the extra power. I pull a micro camper, and just wanted to be sure I had the power for the mountains. The install went flawlessly, followed all the directions, especially the break in procedure, which they really insisted I follow. All went well.

I started off from Annapolis and ended up in Portland. Then reversed the trip, and drove home. It was not a straight line. I took my time and explored, slept under the stars, and just enjoyed not having to be anywhere at any certain time. The engine ran perfect, I now have 21456 on the engine and is running perfect. The mileage started off at 14, and I ended up at 16mpg. The only thing I did was go from mid grade to hi test. I did find out that not all gas is created equal. The 92 octane I purchased in Texas was not close to the 92 octane in Illinois. Thanks Titan for helping me fulfill one of my bucket list items, on to the next.

Just Received Jeep Stroker Kit

OCALA, FLORIDA -- I just received my Jeep 4.8 stroker kit from Titan. I was worried about the purchase, after reading these reviews, but the workmanship is amazing, and the attention to detail was evident. I worked with John, and I changed my build a couple of times, and they worked with me without changing the agreed upon price. The 4.8 is a 4.0 Jeep block bored to 4" and sleeved. You can't even tell the cylinders are sleeved, the bore is perfect.

The new Edelbrock cylinder head is beautiful. This should really make some power. The Keith Black pistons came with moly rings and they even fit the rings with the special KB clearance. Did not even charge for that procedure. Very pleasant experience.

OCALA, FLORIDA -- I purchased a Jeep Stroker for my 04 Wrangler, and just wanted to thank the staff at Titan for working with me through the project. I asked a lot of questions, and they were all very informative and actually talked me out of the more expensive engine I originally wanted. Love the one I have. I have about 5600 miles on the engine and it runs perfect. It pays to listen to the professionals. Great experience.

FLORIDA -- I purchased 2 cams off eBay on the 18th. I had to call them on the 30th to find out that the parts I bought they didn't even have and were drop shipping. They should be checking. I called the manufacturer and found out these cams were discontinued over a year ago and they haven't had any on the shelf for a year. I still have not received my refund and the ad selling these cams is still on eBay. Titan should of called me to let me know this and did an refund before 11 days passed.

Fired before unemployment would be eligible
By -

OCALA -- Well basically I was hired onto Titan Engines as a engine tear down technician. When I started working the guy who was training me treated me as badly as possible by yelling at me constantly. It seemed as though he wanted me to quit. Besides the constant yelling he would ask me to do things that were unnecessary like taking an oil pan to the back of the yard through freezing rain. (this could have been done the following day when there was no freezing rain as the oil p[an was not in the way). After taking the pan to the back of the yard he decides I took the wrong one and I have to fetch the pan and take another on back there instead. It got to the point where I talked to the superintendent about why the guy was treating me this way and the superintendent said tomorrow we will all sit down and have a meeting to see why he's treating you like this. (That meeting never happened) Well as time went on I realized the guy who's training me is drunk every day. Not to mention he's AT LEAST 30 minutes late every morning. I know this because I was 30 minutes early every day and dealt with the other employees asking he where's so and so. My reply was "I'm not sure" finally 6 months down the road I got some kind of food poisoning and was VERY sick so I called work before I was scheduled to arrive and asked if I could take the day off and they said "Absolutely! Just come back when your feeling better." So the following day I was no where near 50% back on my feet and I called again with the same response. The third day I was feeling well enough to go to work and when I arrived everything was normal, or so I thought. At the end of the day the Supervisor calls me into his office and says "I'm letting you go." My reply to him was "can you tell me why?" And his answer was "We need someone that's consistent" So respectfully I left. But How exactly am I the one who's inconstant? The guy who trained me is drunk and late EVERY day! Oh wait let me guess Titan engines is behind on work because of this drunk guy and lets hire on some gullible teenager to help us catch up and then fire him before he can claim unemployment. Well how about the fact I'm not some little teenager who can run back to mommy and daddy? I'm now losing my home to foreclosure because of this company's carelessness. [snip - no names please].
