SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- Paid $52 for a wig, which isn't cheap (it was supposedly marked down from more than $100, which would indicate that the wig would be decent). Received a very poor-quality wig (basically a drugstore Halloween wig, quality-wise...it arrived in a tiny box) that was several inches shorter than what was pictured. Extremely unhelpful customer service who told me by email to take my wig to a stylist for repairs. (A stylist cannot repair several inches missing in length.) Buying from them was a huge mistake. I realize that the picture is of one of Dolly's actual wigs, and I wasn't kidding myself. However, I don't think what I received was even close. Please note how many of the positive reviews of this company are clearly fake.
TEXAS -- I am really disappointed in the wigs from wigsbuy. It looked really great the first day I wore it. I've only won this wig 3 times and all the curls have slackened. I have just wasted money buying this product. I had such high hopes based on all the positive reviews I read but it seems like they sold me a wigs of inferior quality. I am so disappointed. This was my first time buying from wigsbuy and after spending almost $400 on 3 wigs, I am so upset. I've only had this week for less than 4 weeks and can't even wear it again. The other wigs look nothing like the pictures they posted and I don't even know were to begin. $400 down the drain.
CHINA -- I ordered a wig from them also. When I got it, it was not even close to what I ordered. Went a few rounds with their customer service. They offered to give me back 20 dollars of the 140.00 I had spent dealing with them. I had to buy a digital camera to send them a picture of the thing. I did everything they told me to do, it cost me more money. Even went to a lawyer and they wrote them but nothing happened, and never heard from them again.
I believe they are the same people (but I could be wrong, and if I am, I am heartily sorry). They are currently using the URL addresses as wigsis.com and wigbuys.com now, BUT WAS FORMERLY WIGWAYS.COM, the site looks the same with some of the celebrities' pictures and wording. They also uses a US address, but are actually located in China. Maybe we should contact some of these celebs to notify them that they are being used this way. PEOPLE, BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Be very careful about purchasing anything online. Let the buyer be aware.
I have alopecia & with the xmas do coming up, a work friend helped me look for a wig to buy. Our web search brought us to Wigsbuy.com. I had looked at hundreds of images of different hairstyles and out of all of them, there was only 1 that I liked. I didn't have enough money in my debit account (luckily!) so put the charge of £107 on my credit card. I live in the UK, so tried to order through a UK site.
When the wig finally arrived I took one look at it and was surprised it had made it through customs as it looked like an animal that had died in the post! I saw that it had come from China and would have never have ordered it from there, if I was aware of that fact. Although I still had to pay £22 Tax, for it to be delivered from DHL apparently through the USA.
The wig I ordered was a shoulder length, dark blond bob, with loose wavy highlights and looked really lovely. The reality was far from that. I am Caucasian and when I had hair, it was poker straight. I wouldn't therefore, knowingly order some unsuitable, over curly monstrosity that made me look like an exhumed Shirley Temple type monster. In fact when I put it on (after checking it for lice), after he had stopped laughing, my partner started calling me 'your honour' as he said it looked like a judge's wig! The 'wig' was also bald at the back. A really nice touch I thought as I reached for the prozac, Did I forget to mention it was also a different colour?
I tried to ring the number provided, which was an answer phone that gives you at least 3 seconds to verbally launch into the long list of obvious discrepancies and you then get cut off! I also tried to send an e-mail from the address provided, which really surprisingly never went anywhere.
I have informed my credit card company and should get the payment refunded and at least I have an expensive monstrosity to put on my head for Halloween. But aside that I feel totally violated financially. Please, please do not buy from this company, they are scam artists who do not give a flying fig about you or providing a good service, they just want your money.
Absolutely agree! They are committing fraud! They show you all these beautiful celebrity wigs to lure you in. Then when you take the "bait" with your permission, they take your money, then they knowingly send you this cheap wig that looks NOTHING like the wig you ordered. Neither the color, style nor quality matches the picture representing your purchase.
Good luck reaching someone on the # they give you. *BOGUS* I usually do research on EVERYTHING before I purchase. The one time I slipped up and didn't do my reviews homework on this company, I got caught in their web of deception. Their return policy means NOTHING!!! I complied with everything they say would ensure a FULL REFUND. I didn't even try on the wig, didn't comb through, didn't spray and put it right back in the box with the other things that came.
I opened the box and took one look at the wig out of the plastic and knew right away it was not what I ordered. I emailed customer service IMMEDIATELY - THE DAY I RECEIVED IT! And they made sure they responded back only AFTER 7 days, to give the appearance you the purchaser, did not comply with their requirement to dispute the item within 7 days with CS.
I hope EVERYONE will do research BEFORE buying a wig online PERIOD! And as for WIGSBUY.COM? Don't even give consideration to them, because their direct intentions are to scam you by only returning 30-40% of your refund (if any) after much aggregation. Thats how they make money - on the returns. They send out a fake product they know you will return, so they can keep most of your money when it's disputed. How do they continue to get away with this? I think GOOGLE should post these reviews 1st, when anyone googles wigsbuy.com.
TEXAS -- I ordered a dark brown wig and they sent me a jet black wig. They spent several days trying to negotiate with me, sighting their return policy. I told them that their return policy is for the dissatisfaction with the product I ordered but they did not send me what I ordered. Their latest offer was for me to ship the wig back at my expense before refunding my money. They did not say they would refund fully when I returned the wig but did not say they would refund the postage to send it back. I started a dispute with PayPal. That's the only chance you are going to get all of your money back. If they want the wig back, insist that they send you a prepaid label and an email stating that you will get a full refund. If anyone gets scammed by these people, be sure to dispute it with your credit card company or PayPal. They don't send you what you ordered and then they don't want to take responsibility for their error. The reason the wigs cost so much is because you are paying for express shipping. It took only 5 days for it arrive after it shipped. Quality of the wig...questionable. Only order from companies located in the US where satisfaction is guaranteed. If there is a drop down on the home page for a choice of currency, odds are the company is out the country. I returned the wig but they would not refund my money unless I removed my reviews. I had already filed a complaint with PayPal but they decided not to go through them and email me directly so they would not have to follow PayPal's rules. I told PayPal what they had done. PayPal refunded my money and my postage and they did not even realize it since they were still telling me they would refund if I took my reviews down. Even after I got my money back and told I would not take them down, they continued to ask me to remove my reviews. Always pay with PayPal since they will refund your postage. File a complaint with your payment source because you will not get your money back directly from Wigsbuy. It will take a while but be patient, you will get your money back. Better still, avoid this company because they will send you anything but what you ordered and refuse to give you a full refund.Very unethical. AVOID WIGSBUY! Hopefully one day they will get the message.
BURLINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- After reading all those complaints about buying and returning a wig from WigsBuy.com, it seems like all of the experiences described by previous customers is what I went through. I ordered a wig, which said natural hair and oh boy, it was far from it. The color was so wrong I can't even begin to describe the color. I paid $140 and that should have been a signal that it's just too inexpensive to be real hair. So, when I tried to return it I was told to take a picture and when I did, like everyone else's scenario, I was told that there is nothing wrong. After a month of back and forth, I finally contacted PayPal.
They told me what to do and assured me that I will receive my full payment back. They were wonderful and I received an email from WigsBuy and they offered me $30 refund, which I refused. Then another email came in and they offered $50.00. This back and forth bargaining went on for over 10+ emails but I was adamant not to accept anything less than what I was promised by PayPal. So, as the emails kept on coming with low offers, I noticed that PayPal already refunded me the money.
A lesson learned, when it's too good to be true, it probably is. $140 for real hair wig is something you would never be able to purchase from a legitimate American Company. SO, never, ever, purchase anything from China. This is my second time (purchased a piece of clothing once) and experienced the very similar situation.
I was sent a wig that I had cancelled 15 minutes after reading 100s of bad reviews on this scam company. Heed the reviews and order from American companies. Wigsbuy has a 7 day window to return and also say to email them before returning. I emailed and got no response, so I went ahead & returned via UPS after waiting 6 days.
I then sent a strongly worded email regarding my return after getting no response & 17 days after I returned it, they responded. They said since I didn't notify them of return, I would get no refund. I said that I did email them, waited for a response & when I didn't get one, I returned. If I'd waited past the 7 days, they'd tell me I missed the time frame & would get no refund. Screwed either way.
After going round and round, they are offering me $20. I reported them to credit card companies and fraud departments. Do not order wigs, clothes, purses, etc. from any overseas sites as 90% are bogus like this one. Hard lesson learned. Any positive reviews are made by company employees... you can tell. There may be a very few real positive reviews out there floating around, but thousands report Wigsbuy as SCAMMERS and there are thousands of unresolved return cases out there. Buyer beware. Buy from US companies. Wish me luck.
CHINA -- They have the worst visitor service ever. I ordered my package April 21st though I'll have it by vacation. It is May 2nd and I still not have received anything. I emailed them and let them know I want a full refund seeing as I haven't even gotten any shipping info. They said they are processing and will provide shipping info as soon as possible. I then replied and let them know don't bother I don't want or need the item and to fulfill the full refund requested.
The next email I got was that they were sorry for the inconvenience and they were shipping it that day. I do not want the hair, and I replied after 21 days I will dispute the charge and send back. They sent it out though they didn't have to refund my money. I let them know two times I was dissatisfied and did not want or need the item. They are the worst. Please no one buy from this website Wigsbuy - continue to research they have hundreds of bad reviews, I wish I would have.
