Customer NON-service par excellence

If there is a worst customer non-service department today, I have never encountered it. Long hold times, inept personnel (many with only a rudimentary understanding of the English language), and inefficiency oozing out of every pore. They will kill you with aggravation, and no one will find the murder weapon. The BROADCAST are very good. Excellent selections and very reliable. But heaven help you if you ever need to deal with them on a personal level!

Poor Customer Service, Unethical Billing Practices

DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- This company practices unethical, fraudulent billing practices, extortion. They billed me when I did not want the service and sent me to collections. When I called the company, customer service dept. they were extremely rude, located in a different country and couldn't care less about my issues. I wish I had known about all the complaints written.... I would have never used them. Also, these free subscriptions with new automobiles should be discontinued.

XM Billing Scam

Get ready for a scam in you try and cancel your service with XM. They will say that they never got the cancellation, and then keep on billing you. I signed up for it, and then cancelled the service. I keep on getting bills, and am now getting collection letters. On top of that I got "Jerome" from "Bangladesh". How about customer service in the good old USA. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

File an FTC complaint

Anyone who has a problem with XM's cancellation policy (as many here have) should also file a complaint with the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection. They don't investigate individual complaints but if enough people complain, they work with the DOJ and state attorneys general to investigate and litigate cases.

DRURY, MISSOURI -- If you want to cancel your service it is impossible. It is all from a foreign country and they will not allow you. The website is a joke if you want to cancel this service. They will put you on hold and nobody will ever answer you, if they know you want to cancel your service. They are like the scammers that tell you that you have won something and send money. Don't get involved with them. It is easier to get money from the scam than to get rid of XM.

Please do yourself a great service. When dealing with customer service, have a service where if you are American let us talk to someone that can actually speak the language clearly. It is not fair to the customer service agent and not fair for the person asking for service. We are both wasting time and time is money. Please take this into consideration.

Unauthorized Billing Past the Paid Subscription

Like everyone else on this site, I too was billed for services I did not want. Sent them a check for a year's subscription and they continued to bill passed that time. Then sent me in for collection. I am filing a complaint with the NH Attorney General's Offices and the Better Business Bureau.

DETROIT -- Beware!!! This company runs scams and rips people off! If they have your credit card information they WILL put unauthorized charges on it. Do not give them your credit card number. They are a bunch of crooks.

Worse Customer Service I've Ever Experienced

Every time I contact XM Customer Service, their service only gets worse and worse. I can't believe I can't cancel an individual radio on their website. Instead, I have to call them and be transferred multiple times, and explaining to someone who sort of speaks the language that all I want to do is cancel a radio we are no longer using. XM Radio: I love listening to them but they clearly don't have the systems in place to handle the "back-office" issues of a subscriber business.

I received a call on Friday May 8th 2009 from a collection agency that I owed XM Satellite Radio and they were calling to collect. XM has it in the service agreement that you will be charged until you call them to stop service even though they have discontinued you service for nonpayment and they have the right to apply this billing to your credit report for nonpayment. How can any reputable company make such a contract? Why would anyone want to continue paying after service has been discontinued?
