Computer Service And Customer Service Is A Nightmare

TEMPLE, TEXAS -- Never able to speak to a human and this is the second return of the computer I had one week! Service advice comes from techs from India and they are like robots! Temple Texas has had my laptop for 11 days since FedEx delivered it to them and when I call they say they cannot identify my phone number with the serial number. Advice, never buy Acer. Never buy Gateway and stay the heck out anything related to Texas!!!!

UK -- I strongly advise anyone not to buy an Acer laptop. I bought one and I could not get any support when it broke down because they would not help you unless they [know] your laptop ID number. The laptop ID number is written on a paper sticker (!!!) under the laptop (!!!) and gets wiped out after 6-7 months.

I bought a laptop 7 months ago, and I am very dissatisfied. The mouse touch is no longer working I needed to buy a regular mouse. There is no warranty unless you pay for extra, always extra. Avoid ACER.

Poor Customer Support and Poor Machine

METAIRIE, LOUISIANA -- I have an Acer One Netbook. Trying to update the BIOS following their instructions is a nightmare. I needed to do this because the Battery is not charging (my machine is < than a year old). I gave up, and will never buy an Acer again.

Believe everything bad that you read about their service. It sucks and they don't care. I will never ever buy anything Acer as long as I live.

This company's motto should read "Don't email me, I own an Acer". What a piece of junk. My repairman tells me they are so cheap they still use aluminum in the laptops instead of copper. Of course when you purchase they don't tell you that the warranty is a mail in warranty. After 4 months it started by not booting up and ended with a fried hard drive. I'm not going to bother with warranty coverage because they will just install another of their hard drives.

Acer - What customer service??

I have had a problem with Acer. During warranty, it would not turn on. I sent it in (four times). Each time it came back in the same condition it was in when I sent it in. Now I am told that the warranty has expired and it will cost me to send it back in. What a piece of trash, equaled only by their lack of service.

CANADA -- All I can say is, I think Acer is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is terrible, I have owned other computers through the years (not ACER) and have never had issues like I have with the Acer customer service. I know this is the last Acer product I will ever buy.
