Lied To And Treated Like Crap
By -

STROGSVILLE, OHIO -- At around 10:00 pm, I had ordered a roast beef and a beef and cheddar sandwich. I seen the lady throw one of my orders in the garbage. When I asked why she threw it away she denied it. She said she did not throw it the garbage. I had the store manager pick it out of the garbage and hold it up to the in-store camera, he did. This was at 10:03 pm. Then the girl was laughing at me. Is this how you treat paying customers??

Bottom line as I drove off I threw my supper away, what a waste of time and money. I also have this recorded on my cell phone. It was not the food that made me sick. It was how I was treated, like crap being laughed at a big joke. The store would not give me the corporate phone #, I am asked to go online to do this.

What if I had no PC? I was told the one sandwich was wrapped wrong. It was the store manager who did this. What is going on in your store? Please call me to discuss this matter if you even care. I called your store this morning and was rushed off the phone. Thanks a lot.

Order Takers That Don't Listen
By -

TRAVELERS REST, SOUTH CAROLINA -- My husband & I went there & I was driving so I ordered my husband a turkey & swiss sandwich with no sauces or mayonnaise, & 2 large potato cakes. I received a sandwich with sauce & curly fries & no potato cakes. I didn't know the sandwich had sauce on it til we got home. We noticed the no potato cakes right away so we drove around & got those & then went home.

My husband spit out his first bite & said there is sauce on it so I took it back & said to the girl "I told you no mayo & no sauces." She said "all I heard was no mayo, so I will remake it for you." Then she proceeded to tell me that 3 people there wear headsets like it was someone else's fault. And I said "I would like to speak to a manager" & she said she was a manager. And I said "You know it was your fault. You said all I heard was no mayo." I called her a jerk & will never go there again & I'm spreading the word!!!

Sales Associate Changed My Order
By -

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA -- I love Arby's curly fries and cheese sticks, so I made my order by drive thru and told the lady (Nov. 24th, 2010 around 10:15 pm) "I would like a number 5 and an order of your 6 piece cheese sticks." She then asked what size drink so I told her a medium Pepsi and she told my total of about $10 and to pull around front. I received my food and asked where my fries were and she said she had asked me if I wanted to change my fries for my cheese sticks.

This is the second time she has done this. I should not have to argue about what it means when someone says I want a number 5 AND an order of cheese sticks. I WILL NOT be going to this location (5316 Indian River Road Virginia Beach, VA 23464) again. For $10 all I have is a sandwich, cheese sticks and a Pepsi, come on really?

Is The Customer Right Or Wrong?
By -

ATHENS, ALABAMA -- My family went to Arby's last night at 9:00 pm. As soon as we pull up to give our order the lady on the other end kept saying "is that all" before I could finish my sentence. Then when I got up to the window I realize I had forgotten one of the dollar Roast beef sandwiches. So I asked if Bethany could add this to my order. She tells me "no because we are too busy" and she has a line. So she said that if I wanted that sandwich I would have to drive back around and then get it.

Number one there was two cars behind me. And also when I went back around there was no one in the dining room ordering. Is it a policy of yours to make the customer get to the back of the line to add something to their order? And by the way our order was not ready for pick up anyway so we had to wait.

Worst Fast Food Salad in Town
By -

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- I have been eating the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and the Chicken Club Salads for years. They were absolutely awesome for a "fast food salad". However, I just went through the drive-thru to find they are all gone. I ordered the Farmhouse Chicken Salad. It looks like somebody put the salad through a food processor with a couple pieces of onion and tomato. I had about three bits of bacon and five very small, bites of chicken. It sucks and I am still hungry! I needed a spoon to eat it! Since I don't eat the sandwiches, I guess I won't be going back! Arby's get your act together!!!

Harassment

SILOAM SPRINGS, ARKANSAS -- I worked at Arby's. I have never ate there and never really planned to when I started working there. The place was remodeled and I never thought anything wrong with the building. My problem is the managers. There are two female and 1 male manager. The male manager is constantly checking out the female customers and commenting on if he thinks they are hot or not. He is constantly hitting on customers and the underage employees. Anytime a customer comes in and he is the manager on duty they have a long wait and his methods are not necessarily sanitary.

Tonight he was training a new employee during the dinner rush and allowed him to take a person's money then the customer changed what he wanted which was an extra charge and pulled him while he waited on the food to cook forcing the customer to come inside. There were long wait periods due to the incorrect time of training, lots of yelling at each other between employees and not a very team filled environment like you would expect.

Called to Complain and Treated With Respect
By -

GREENVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had stopped at a local Arby's and ordered 2 sandwiches, one for my wife and one for me. I paid too much, since they seem to be high, but had not ate there in a while. When I got home, my wife's sandwich was correct, but mine was not, I had ordered the sandwich that looks like hamburger patties, for the life of me I cannot think what they call it. It was supposed to have bacon and cheese, and some other toppings, well, all it was, was a plain roast beef sandwich.

So I found their phone number and called them and explained what happened and management apologized and said they would take my name and the type of sandwich I ordered and upgrade it to a combo meal, to mention it the next time I came in. Not too many restaurants even care about their customers anymore.

Moldy, Fungus Ridden Lettuce

AKRON, OHIO -- Moldy, Fungus Ridden Lettuce - Arby's, 07-16-2008, I ordered a Market Fresh Turkey and Swiss sandwich. I had ate the first half of the sandwich, when I took a bite of the second half I looked at the sandwich because the lettuce appeared dark. When I opened the bread, I stopped chewing and spit out the sandwich. What I saw was a two large pieces of lettuce that was covered in black mold and fungus.

I went to the store to complain. The person who made the sandwich immediately met me at the counter to see what the problem was. In my opinion it was intentionally done. These sandwiches are

The manager was not in the store, only a crew trainer was available. Once the manager pulled into the parking lot employees converged into the parking lot to explain what had happened. The manager then entered the restaurant and asked what the problem was. After showing him what I had eaten and nearly ate he offered me a new sandwich or my money back. I explained to him the possibilities of Salmonella poisoning or E. coli exposures. He seemed totally unconcerned.

I contacted the corporate office who apologized and did not offer any other assistance. I was sick and very stressed that I might contract a disease. I became ill that evening, nausea and vomiting. I contacted my doctor and the city's health department.

Arby's is vegetarian friendly
By -

NORTON, OHIO -- This will be a quick one about my visit to Arby's in Norton, OH. I am a vegetarian, and I don't do fast food very often, but I was starving today. I pulled into the Arby's drive through and the lady in the window asked me what I would like. I looked at the whole menu (even the salads had meat.) I said, "I guess I will have some fries and a Coke. I don't see anything without meat on it and I am a vegetarian." The woman cheerfully said, "We could make you a sub with all veggies...would you like that?" I said, "Sure!"

They made me the sandwich just the way they said they would, no meat, and they took a dollar off my order, the nice woman at the window explained to me that I shouldn't have to pay for meat I didn't want. The woman thanked me for my purchase. You know, that is the best dang veggie sub sandwich I have ever had! THIS is how businesses and their employees should conduct themselves. Very, very cool.
