PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA -- Waitress used dirty rags on tables. They pile all the dishes with food on them on tables, then you have to look at that while you have your dinner. We went there Monday. I have complained about the bathroom in the past. The bathrooms just keep getting worse. My husband went in and said too dirty to use. The floor was so dirty your feet stick to floor in the bathroom. My husband loves the food. I hate the bad way things are handled there. The servers need much training and the place needs major cleaning. I don't want to eat there at all, my husband has different idea. Management wake up.

Unsanitary Practices

Golden Corral employees do not restrict children under 10 from handling the food. I was at the restaurant for breakfast Sunday 7/10/2011. By the pastry station there was a bowl of m&m's and a bowl of gummy bears. There was a child approx 6 yrs old that had his hands in both bowls pulling out candy and placing on his ice cream cone.

There were 2 employees working at the station and did absolutely nothing. They did not stop the child from putting his hand in bowls. By right both bowls were now contaminated and should have been thrown out and washed and restocked. I was really turned off by the lack of hygiene and lack of enforcement. I was at the restaurant on Pines Blvd in Hollywood, Florida.

MIAMISBURG, OHIO -- A couple of weeks ago my husband and I decided to go out to eat. Something we don't do to often, so I was all excited and was happy to go. So to make a long story short, as we was handed our plates for the buffet bar, I always run my hand over them to make sure food is not left on them and make sure they are clean. So I ran my hand over the bottom of my plate and needless to say I had caked mashed potatoes on the bottom of it, I was upset and ask for another plate. She said sure, so I was handed another one, of course this one had some food items on it also, so I ask to speak to a manager.

Well I had to go to the bathroom so when I was gone the manager come and spoke to my husband about it, she said she was sorry for the problem and would try to make it right. Well if you ask me I think I deserve a free meal for all my trouble, well maybe next time I will get one. Who knows, just beware and watch for them dirty plates. You might get a bonus with your meal.

Bad Service

On the 26th day of May me and my family went to eat at the Golden Corral. The food was good but when I discovered a hard black piece in my potatoes the waitress and the manager said that it comes like that. I said okay went got some more and found another one. It didn't take a smart person to know that those pieces where the mold that be in taters and they're supposed to be taken out. The manager was notified and he said would get back with me. I ate a little longer still no sight of the manager. He walked pass me twice - how rude.

Complaint Against Management
By -

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- My wife and I had been long time customers for at least 10 years and became friends with one of the assistant managers in the restaurant only and took it as good customer service for loyal customers. This man knew I was going out of town for work and made a comment to my wife while I was getting food and said that I told him he could take my wife home with him. My wife was devastated about the remark and since I had applied there a couple months prior he had access to our address.

When the district manager called me back after 6 days of me calling the corporate office I was advised it was his word against hers and he could do nothing about it. Even though the assistant manager was in the wrong for sitting at our table and talking every time we went in, bringing food to our table and giving us an occasional free meal but the unwanted sexual advances was his word against hers.

MCCOMB, MISSISSIPPI -- I wanted to take my grandmother out to eat for her sixty-fifth birthday lo and behold it was delayed until 8-20-2010. I decided for us to eat at the Golden Corral where you could get all you could eat dinner buffet for 10.00. The food was great and the server was excellent I didn't even ask for a refill and the server just gave me another refill. One thing that surprised me is my grandmother she was enjoying herself for someone with type 2 diabetes she was able to find food she could eat. The total bill tax and all was 25.10 and I gave the server a 4.00 tip. For sure I will come again maybe to try the breakfast buffet.

Overpriced, Cold Food and Dirty Dishes

COLUMBUS, GEORGIA -- I took my 15 year old daughter out to lunch... the total of our ticket was $22.22. Most of the food was too cold to enjoy. The dishes provided at the salad bar and dessert bar were unclean. My daughter would not eat anything but ice cream and her beverage. I chose Golden Corral over Ryan's because it was not crowded and I thought we could enjoy a quite meal... Now I know why there were so few diners at the lunch hour... The waitress that handled the area we were seated in, however, was excellent. She was constantly checking on us and she apologized for the food...

Oh yeah, the cashier handed my daughter $2.00 that was supposed to be my change... it belonged to someone else... When the cashier came to retrieve the money, she was quite rude as if I stole the money outright... How embarrassing - for $2.00.

GLEN BURNIE, MARYLAND -- October 16, 2007 - Tuesday Afternoon 2:45 PM went to the Golden Corral Buffet Restaurant at 6701 Chesapeake Center Dr, Glen Burnie, MD 21060. Tasted several types of chicken entrees. Found both the fried chicken and roasted chicken to be warm and not hot. Complained to the manager who took the temperature of both types of chicken. Test results came in really low. I asked her what the temp. should be, but she never answered me. She told the staff to remove the warm chicken and to replace it with a fresh pan of hot chicken. She then went on about her business, she never offered a refund or an apology.

Rude Waitress

HAMILTON, OHIO -- We ate at the Golden Corral on Main Street in Hamilton, Ohio, last night and our waitress, a 20 year old, was rude. She constantly neglected our table, although she served other tables in the area where we sat. She neglected to give us refills on our drinks and forgot to bring my mom her coffee. To add insult to injury, some guy who was at the restaurant was messing with sister who was also there and spent 10 minutes talking to a co-worker who was taking her break and whining about that man messing with her sister and her hating her job instead of serving us.

We were going to get the manager but the manager was in his office and never came out. I want reprimanded for her irresponsible, lousy service and her rude, unprofessional service and if she does that again, fired. I also want the manager reprimanded for not checking on us. If he reprimanded for her rude behavior, good for him. However, the Hamilton Golden Corral needs an overhaul since some of the service we received on a few visits we made there has been horrible. I enjoy GC and its food but next time we eat at a GC, we will eat at another location rather than the Hamilton location.

PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA -- My daughter went into the Golden Corral on 3/11/12 about 3:30pm and immediately after leaving, she started throwing up and having diarrhea. This continued half the night and stomach pains continued until I rushed her to emergency to get I.V., antibiotics and pain killers etc. I have attempted to call the manager and was put on hold and hung up on. I will be calling headquarters today.
