ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Kaiser is the very worst health care provider I could imagine. I need an injection in my spine for severe pain in my left arm. I have had this done three times in the past but here is what I have to go through to get the procedure done.
1. Make an appointment with my primary care physician ant tell him what I need done and get a referral. [$50] [four days]
2. Go to the referral office and get them to make an appointment with the Pain Clinic and have then evaluate the referral. [$50]
3. [2 weeks later] Go to the Pain Clinic and have the Tech ask me if I am in pain [$50]
4. Go back to Kaiser and try to get approval for the injection [2 weeks]
5. Make appointment with Pain clinic for the injection [2 weeks]
6. Finally get the injection to ease my pain.
The entire process took almost six weeks!! All Kaiser would do is say this is "standard" procedure. Shut the car door on your hand and wait six weeks to get the door open and you would know what I went through!!!

My Kaiser doctor told me I had a sexually transmitted disease. I had not had sexual contact for over 20 years before that happened.
I was denied an opportunity to see a specialist.
I switched carriers and saw a specialist. I had some kind of bacteria. I was treated by a SPECIALIST!
Kaiser does NOT treat people - only takes their $$$
Kasier is the Worst!!
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Kaiser is absolutely awful! They won't pay if you have complicated medical issues and simply don't care. They only care about saving money. They hurt me tremendously, and I am still in pain from their ... read full review5 Replies - Latest reply on 04/15/2011
LOS ANGELES -- After NOT receiving services (the staff "lost" my specimen), I requested a simple refund of my copay. After zero response from several Kaiser customer service points, I complained to the State (Managed Health Care) who said "my copays are not contingent upon degree of satisfaction or reason for service."

I'm sorry, but receiving competent service is a basic tenet of business law. No service, no pay.
Is $25 worth it to Kaiser to be posted on every site I can access?
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Daughter is depressed. Has recovered from pain killers from a previous operation not done by Kaiser. Now since she has recovered from pain killers cannot get medication for her anxiety and continues to suffer. Kaiser continues to receive her as drug addicted and will not prescribe meds to relieve her condition. All of her drug test come back clean but they still diagnose her as an addict. Will need to go outside of system to receive proper care. In the meantime worried that she will seek self medication. Their drug and behaviour services are inept. 4 Replies - Latest reply on 12/23/2009Add reply

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- KP has done it again. I say again because I had some level of patience for them. The did do certain things very well. However, upon terminating services with them, they changed the type of coverage I had to prior so as not to be inclusive of anything that I had payed for.

I have heard many times of other insurance companies refusing payment on the last month of rendered services when leaving their insurance, like how United Healthcare does it.
This is a personal first for me. I have never had a company change records and claim that I was not a member to avoid payments, when in fact, I was.
I have to say, I really like Kaiser!

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA -- I had the worst experience with Kaiser Permanente when I was trying to change plans. I had to fax the application form three times before they received it. I wanted the plan to be changed in January, so I sent the form in December, but they did not get it, so I sent it again in December and they said your plan is changed and everything is okay, but they did not get the form. Then they sent me a letter saying that I owe them more money. I called them again and surely my plan was still not changed, so I sent the form again in January, and they only changed my plan in February.
This company does not do what they promised. They have terrible customer service. I can not wait to find a different health insurance company.
