NEW YORK -- Bought two (2) Kitchen Aid refrigerators top of the line stainless steel 6 years ago from PC Richards. Last year one after the other started to break down first was the relay switch (3-1 switch) then the compressor. I'm really disappointed with the performance and low quality of this Brand. Appliances are made to last 3-4 years. Poor quality for something that the consumer pays top dollar. Shame on you Kitchen Aid.
Every KitchenAid appliance we bought for our remodel has failed multiple times. Also, the famous KitchenAid mixer is now a piece of junk and no longer deserves its long reputation of reliability. My advice avoid KitchenAid and Whirlpool at all costs. Consider LG, that is what we are doing.
I have owned my stainless steel Superba side by side for over nine years without a single problem at all. It still makes ice and crushed ice and water. It still vacuum locks after I open it each time. My food has never thawed or been damaged from my refrigerator. There has never been ice formed in my freezer. I love my Kitchenaid appliances.
