CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA -- Today when I was in Macy's there was a problem with my credit card, this happened just a few days ago as well, and told it wouldn't happen again. Not so. I used the in store phone to speak with someone in customer service but no help there. This very nice employee in fine jewelry over heard me and offered her help. She went above and beyond in helping me get the right person to take care of me. Her name is Nancy Nash at the Chesapeake, Virginia store. What a great and giving employee they have. GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA -- My husband took me out shopping for my birthday last weekend, hoping to buy me a new large cooking pot. We went directly to your store to see what was being offered. When we got to the cookware department, everything was laid out, easy to see & easy to price. We were able to review our options (there were several!) & find a quality 8 quart pot (by Martha Stewart) quickly & easily. Even the sales representative was friendly & helped us make the purchase so we could get out the door without a care in the world. On January 30, 2010, my husband and I went to Macy's at the Bridgewater Mall to find and purchase shower and wedding gifts. My aunt & I went in and Shannon came over to greet us& asked to help. She ran all over the store for us to attend to our needs. She went out of her way to make us think she was there just for us. She explained the promotions & coupons, figured both options to take full advantage of our savings and was very attentive & friendly. WE CAN'T say enough about her or our great savings that day. RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- I wish to compliment Tracy in the women's shoe dept. for his excellent service to me. He was pleasant and efficient, showing me several kinds of shoes, showing me various colors in a particular shoe, and helping me decide on the proper size as I am difficult to fit and certain brands of shoes require different sizes. I bought 4 pairs of shoes from Tracy and would like his supervisor to know that I have never had better service in any shoe dept. of any store and I'm a senior citizen.Add reply

BEAVER, PENNSYLVANIA -- I would like to tell you about one of your salespersons at the Beaver Valley Mall on May, 9, 2009. She was a very helpful lady. I was looking for a special necklace and earrings in a special color and she was very kind to help me. The coupons offered at Macys were indeed worthless. I suggested to one cashier that they mark only the merchandise that the coupons were good for. This way they wouldn't have to write a book on the merchandise excluded on the coupon. Add reply
WAYNNE, NEW JERSEY -- Ordered furniture from Macy's Furniture store in NJ area. Delivery was canceled again and again at last minutes. When purchase, we were promised everything is in stock, we can get our furniture on time. For each delivery cancellation, the excuse is ridiculous, first time they blame their new computer system, second time they told us not enough orders to fill full truck, so they have to cancel delivery, they want to wait for other orders to send together. We ordered full dinning room set! and We paid delivery fee!!!

Christmas is approaching, there is slim chance we can get our furniture any time soon. Who knows when will they could get full truck load! Don't believe their promise any more. We have taken time off from work, waited at home for delivery, then got call from them" sorry, no delivery. next time"

I purchased a Martha Stewart 5.5 qt. Dutch Oven. The item I was looking for was not on the floor, so I asked a wonderful gentleman (Paul), who was behind the counter, if there were any available. He checked the back room, came out with the item, and proceeded to complete the sales transaction with old-fashioned courtesy and professionalism. I am upset with Macy's dept store because they send out numerous coupons($25 off etc)but I haven't been able to use many of them. There are so many restrictions(in fine print) I just don't see why they bother wasting money,time and effort to get these coupons to their customers and most of the time I throw them out.
