Not Happy

PHILA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I was asked (by a friend) to visit a MK meeting and share some ideas I had to tie in MK products with my business. Once there I was told that I could not speak but could pass out info after the meeting. Another woman was told the same thing. I then knew I was there under false pretenses, and was there as a guest and had to sit in on the meeting. My "friend" needed to meet a "invited guest" quota. Was of course asked to join the fun. I said "no thank you" but I do use the product and would be happy to be a faithful buyer. Got no positive feed back on this comment. They wanted me in to bring in others.

They were not interested in me being a consumer of there product at all. I was only the means to an end for the upline.

Yup, that is EXACTLY how Mary Kay works. As a former consultant who is bitter, I could go on and on, but I just don't have the energy to dredge all that crap up again.

Great product, horrible business practices/pyramid scheme.

I haven't (nor would I now) used MK since I was a teenager. That was quite a long time ago...
