AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- Had laminate hard wood installed in a VERY dry basement, have lived here 13 years and have NEVER gotten water in our basement. The grade of the yard flows down hill. Floor was installed in November, buckled in August. Filed Claim in August. Called them repeatedly since then it is now 1 year later, November and after a final email stating that I would go on social media sites and tell the world how bad they are, I get a phone call stating our claim was "denied based on moisture"!

They never ONCE stepped foot in here to look at the basement to detect moisture!! I am a returning customer, and will never return again! They were great 7 years ago when they did floors for me, but not again!
CUMBERLAND, RHODE ISLAND -- How can National Floors Direct actually be in business? Installation was done incorrectly and incomplete as well as outright lies regarding installation scheduling that cost loss of salary for the 2 days of work that we gave up to be present when installers finally showed up.
Set up yet another day to have them come back and complete/fix the installation costing 2 of us another day out of work---and then get the phone call the installer won't be coming (after they were confirmed 2 hours before). Call to complain and the "supervisor" declares it is all our fault for not supervising their installer correctly and hangs up!
Don't Ever Buy From National Direct
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- This is the worse company to deal with and I would not recommend anyone to do any business with National Floors Direct. I had Armstrong laminated floor installed back in 2011. I had scatter rugs on the ... read full review2 Replies - Latest reply on 04/30/2013
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- They're at it again! Had the stair carpet put in this morning as the 2nd part of the job started last week (see my other review). ANOTHER AWFUL INSTALL! I inspected it, pointed out the issues, installer "Sam" refused to fix them, said it was done properly, even though parts were fine and other parts were not. He quickly left, saying he had to get to the next job! Called company (no idea how many times Ive spoken to them over the last week), spoke with Livia who is always contradictory of herself and will lie to you. Don't believe their "1 year warranty of install", because you could send them a pic of a complete disaster and they'll blame you or the product in all cases! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES. DAN ROSENBERG (OWNER, ACCORDING TO RECORDS I FOUND ONLINE) WAS INVESTIGATED AND SHUT DOWN IN NEW JERSEY FOR HIS PREVIOUS FLOORING BUSINESS BACK IN 2004-2006. THIS IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND EASILY FOUND ON THE NET.
347 COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM ON THE BBB IN THE LAST 3 YEARS, 78 CLOSED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. YOU DO THE MATH.
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- Based upon more than plenty of bad reviews all over the internet about this company, I probably do not need to go into detail. But here is the breakdown: salesman lied about many things, company made a huge mess, damaged my home and did not clean up as contractually obligated, nor did they move anything back.
They refuse to return phone calls or resolve dispute. Flooring is uneven, bouncy and damaged, and the company will not honor their so-called 1 year install warranty. Reached out to Armstrong Floors who agree it was a bad install. Best advice if you for some reason do business with these people: do not hand over the check until job is done to your satisfaction per the contract.
I would never have my worst enemy do business with these people.
Inflated Prices! BEWARE!
BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I had National Floors Direct come to my home for an estimate on hardwood floors. The price started at $3600.00 for a dinning room and a hallway. We told the salesperson we had to think about it and would ... read full review
AUBURN, MASSACHUSETTS -- The workmanship was terrible. Within a day after they left, I could see the lines where they tried to match up the pieces of carpeting. Of course, because they will only acknowledge a problem while the workers are still in the house, I was out of luck.
Then, merely months later, I was vacuuming one day and BOOM, a piece of carpet got sucked up and within SECONDS, a long, thick string became unraveled, leaving an unsightly flaw. When I called, I got the standard, "we are sorry, but...."
I won't even get into the fact that they scratched my furniture and left a huge stain on my brand new rug (just those basic statements speak volumes).
I can not recommend this company to anyone. They are despicable.
Destroyed My Property
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- National Floors were given a deposit for install of laminate floors and carpet for hallway stairs. Salesman was very nice for sale and bad mouthed Empire Floors. Install date was given, when installers ... read full review4 Replies - Latest reply on 01/24/2013
We recently had a floor installed for a dance studio. The salesman stated they have installed floors in many studios and that they had just installed one in Rhode Island. After our first tap class, the floor had scratch marks and digs on it. We contacted National Floor asking what we could do to prevent this for happening further. We never got a call back. We called again, customer service told us to go to Lowes and buy a sealant. Lowes never heard of such a thing.
We made another, and another, and another, and another call to National Floor. They are always in meetings when you call and never return a call. They finally asked for photos of the floor, which were sent to them that same day. Today, 5 days after sending photos, and numerous more phone calls, we were told there's nothing they can do and to file a claim against Armstong.
IPSWICH -- I had a new carpet installed in my new home. First of all it was supposed to be installed before the movers came as promised. National Floors Direct then changed the installation date and I had to move in before the carpets were installed. This did not allow for me to be there as I had already scheduled the day off for the day they were supposed to come. When the carpets were finally installed they agreed they would move the funiture around in the rooms. The carpenters were given permission to signoff on the installation which they did but when I got home I noticed a two inch tear in my rug. I quickly reported this to National Floors Direct and they are telling me it is my problem and there is nothing they can do for me because My carpenters signed off. This is terrible. The carpet was torn at installation, the installers covered it up for the carpenters and now I am having to live with a brand new torn rug. Never do business with this company. The carpet is cheap, installers are corrupt, bad customer service and don't meet scheduling which causes all sorts of problems. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Add reply
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I had a problem with my installation and they acted like it was my problem and not theirs. They cost me more money to delay my carpet then to install it. I called in and spoke with a lady (I'll provide name later) who said yup I'm the only supervisor here was the absolute rudest person I ever spoke to. They wouldn't offer any type of discount, but don't worry they offered a gift card said they would put it in the mail that day.. Yup no gift card.. will report then further worst company ever will never order from them again I'd rather go somewhere else for the rest of my carpet not worth all of the hassle!1 Replies - Latest reply on 07/10/2012Add reply
MARYLAND -- I recently call National Floors Direct for a carpeting project in my home. I Schedule the installation, after 2 months the carpet was a nightmare it was not installed properly, it started ruffled up all over my house, and when I complained, the customer service was horrendous. Nobody cared about all the money I spent having this carpet installed living on disability. I will be sure to tell everyone I know what a terrible experience I have had, and I will recommend National Floors Direct to no one. They did not repair the problem, after I file several complaints. What goes around will come around.Add reply

I am a businessman in Massachusetts. This company is one of the worst companies I have ever come across. Their customer service is delightful while they are trying to get your business. They demand a personal check as deposit. Once they take your order they demand a certified bank check for the entire balance before they install anything. Customer support was rude and offensive. Go anywhere else but don't give your business to these crooks.Add reply
MASSACHUSETTS -- Want all money upfront. Don't do it. Customer Service confrontational and argumentative. She hung up on me. I looked @ the carpeting they sent out to install while it was still in the truck. Horrible quality. Showed up late with only one person to install 3 rooms and stairs. Misrepresentation of product. Took my deposit money and refused to give it back. Now I must deal with Attorney General's Office. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right?" What happened to service in this country? The whole process has been nothing but upsetting. Don't do it!!Add reply
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I'm writing this review because I am an ex employee who worked for this company. I am owed over 1000.00 in commissions for the last 3 years and haven't been paid. I am not a disgruntled employee as it was my choice to leave. Legally however I am entitled to the commissions that I earned. So I would take this lack of caring about doing the right thing by their employees into account when thinking about which flooring companies to use when the time comes for YOU to choose one. I personally would NEVER choose National Floors Direct however. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 04/15/2012Add reply
AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I purchased a laminate floor from National Direct and it has a warranty. One section started to peel so I called them. They asked me to send a picture, don't know why they couldn't send someone to look at it take their own picture, I guess it because they had no intentions of coming here and fixing it, because all they said to me sometimes that happens and their not responsible. They do not stand behind their warranties.1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/03/2012Add reply
Two months ago I gave a deposit of $600.00 to National Floors direct. They did not do the job I hired them to do and have not refunded my deposit. I call every week and get no help, only run around and lies! 1 Replies - Latest reply on 01/23/2012Add reply
