Flight Booking Fraud
MICHIGAN -- Special Alert! Don't ever create a "saved itinerary" for Northwest Airlines that allows you to save a flight for possible future booking.
I did this and after 90 days, when I had long forgotten about ... read full review3 Replies - Latest reply on 12/04/2008
NWA frequent flier program is one of the worst in the business. It requires you to pay both miles and a lot of cash to get a "free" ticket. What I didn't know is that if you cancel or try to revise the ticket you will loose the cash portion of the fare, in my case $180. No ticket, no service but they still take your money and they can sell the seat again! They say the terms were made clear on the web page before I bought the ticket. Bull. If an individual did this it would be call grand theft but they are doing it to customers everyday.

All in all another reason to despise this airline.
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- Nothing but compliments on how efficiently Northwest handled my luggage after I had to deplane due to sickness, too late to retrieve baggage. It was returned the very next day. Thanks so much--in all of the miles I have flown, I have NEVER lost or had baggage delayed on NW.

Keep up the good work and count me as a VERY satisfied customer. I believe Phyllis was the lady in Memphis who took care of the whole thing for me.
Extortion by Northwest Airlines
LAKELAND, TENNESSEE -- NWA recently changed my schedule, so that there is no reason for me to even make the trip. (This is over Christmas, so it is about 3 months off)

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- I flew NWA, and as a majority, they have got to be some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. One particular stewardess by the name of Joyce, was VERY ugly to me. Before I got off of the plane, I asked her what her name was, for this very reason. I'd had enough unprofessionalism for one day from these people and that was the last straw.

I'm not going to make this into a long drawn out complaint. (though I could) I'm just going to say: IN GENERAL, NORTHWEST AIRLINES NEEDS TO IMPROVE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My family and I will no longer be customers of this airline; it will be the LAST airline I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased a ticket on Northwest Airlines website and after I confirmed the purchase the website defaulted the date to the following day. I noticed this later and called the airline only to be charged $122 for changing it to the original day. The ticket agent I spoke to was the one who explained that the website often defaults this way so the company is aware of the problem and not only have they not corrected it, they are charging customers for their error. I have written to them several times and they are refusing to take responsibility and return the money.
This is the second time this has happened. They are charging me $100 for a day change and $22 because they claim that the day I want to travel would be more expensive even tho I did a search for the flight on my desired travel day and am aware of the ticket price.
I feel robbed!
