Corn King Lean Ham

SRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I bought a so-called lean Corn King ham. I don't think they know what lean means. it was so full of fat I couldn't eat it. I gave it to my dogs over a 5 day period so they wouldn't get the runs from so much fat in it !!!!!!!!!!!

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I bought two packs of bacon that was gross. Fat, fat and more fat. Try to contact them (if you can find the phone number). Do your self a favor and buy bacon from your butcher not from a discount store that sells the slauter house scraps as bacon.

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I opened a 1 lb package of Bacon and was totally turned off by the fat portion of each slice. Four cooked slices produced approximately 1/3 cup of grease. I purchased 4 packages of product and had similar results.

Bar code = 0 74700 1003 2.

Corn King Bacon Fat

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I bought Corn King bacon distributed by TSD Sales and Distribution, barely received any bacon, mostly fat, at least 7/8 of the package. Will always look now at who is distributing and packaging. Will never buy again from TSD, they should be closed down. I have never complained about a food product enough to sit down and write a complaint, but I paid for this and literally received 1/8 of the cost I paid.

Colonial Bacon- HORRIBLE!!! Don't Waste Your Money!

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- In this 1 lb. package of bacon, I can tell you that 9/10 of it is fat. Sickening, a tiny strip of meat on each slice. Does this company have any type of QC for their products??? I will not be wasting my money on this again.

Disappointed

I purchased from Walmart an 8-oz package of presliced pepperoni for a basketball game party. After I had cut up all of the cheeses and prepared the tray with crackers, etc., I opened the pepperoni and instantly smelled "rotten eggs." I did a double-take, it was that bad. My husband actually sampled a piece and said it was horrid. It instantly changed his appetite for the party foods I had prepared. The date on the package was 06/06/2011. This is only January. I have purchased this brand every time we need pepperoni and I have never had such a problem.

If you want me to continue my patronage, I would like a coupon for replacement.

Thanks.

Bad Bacon

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I purchased 2 1# packages of Corn King Bacon last week. Through the "window" it looked OK. I opened one package today for breakfast and found blood dripping inside the package and dark red blood spots on the bacon. I have never purchased bacon with blood inside the package. I could not cook it...very unpleasant to look at. I am very disappointed as I am retired and have to bargain shop to make ends meet. Having to throw away food, breaks my heart. I won't ever buy a Corn King product again, as I cannot take the chance of it being bad. I am going to write to the company to see if they will, hopefully, reimburse me for this awful bacon.

Fat & Parts Added

PO BOX 2020, SPRINGDALE AR 72765-2020 -- I purchased a 10lb bag of Goldleaf leg quarters and as I was repackaging them for freezing I found a large chunk of fat, not attached to anything. Also in the package was a neck with lots of skin and fat on it. I feel like these parts were added as filler to make it to the 10 lbs.

So I feel like I was cheated and did not get 10 lbs of leg quarters.

Bought a 12oz package of Ole Carolina Hickory Smoked Sliced Bacon today at WalMart.

I brought it home and hubby decided to use it for BLT's. He started to take it out of the pack while I put away the rest of the groceries.

He stops me to show me what he has. The bacon is EXTREMELY fatty (the slice veiwed in the 'representative slice' tear-away hole is much less so). In many places the 'slices' are one stringy piece, and not separated from one another.

Was NOT equal to what the quality of this product has been before (have bought this brand name a few times). This brand name is cheaper than many others, and I have often bought it for that reason. It has never been of an equal quality with the other brands that I sometimes buy, but this time was of even lesser than usual.

(Usually for such as sandwiches or breakfasts I buy the better stuff; this was actually intended for potato soup. I can usually get away with using this in soup; this time I would've been disappointed even had I used it for that.)
