SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I took a roll of TSD Sales and Distribution's 93/7 All Natural Lean Ground Beef out of the freezer to make dinner. I placed the roll in the microwave for 2 minutes to slightly thaw. When I removed the wrapper it was nearly all fat. I paid more for the "lean" ground beef expecting lean and instead had a product that was anything but. I am dieting for health reasons. I compared the labels of this to ground turkey and this won. Now I question the accuracy of the label because this is the fattiest ground beef I have ever seen.
I bought a 5 lb tube of TSD Sales and Distribution ground beef at the local Wal-Mart. I went to use it today and it is nothing but 3.8 lbs of hard fat. I had to peel the fat away to find enough ground beef to make my son a hamburger. I was able to get 4 hamburgers out of a 5 lb tube. This is ridiculous. I am barely able to make it and what I thought would be enough for 5 meals was only good for 1. Would you like to explain what I'm supposed to do for the other 4 meals?
KERNERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchase your meat a lot from Wal-Mart & Aldi's. This roll of ground beef was 93% lean & 7% fat. I think what I got was just a roll of fat. It covered the whole roll, & was through & through. I know times are tight but give us what we pay for… Less fat! This had to be the roll the fat was to be thrown away but got made into a roll for sale. I've never gotten this much fat in a package of meat with more required fat. So hurt our country has come to this. We can't afford these types of problems. Times are hard enough!! What ever happened to good old American quality?
SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I purchase 1 lb. ground beef chuck 80/20 in large quantities at my local Walmart and have for years. I freeze the meat immediately after purchasing it. The meat comes in "chubs", the packaging is the same as it has always been, so I am assuming the distributor has not changed. I have never previously had a problem with the quality or taste of the meat in these "chubs"; however, recently I have found the meat to have a strange almost slimy or slippery texture, and the slimy meat is almost flavorless. I took one bite and literally had to spit it out.
I assumed that it was just that particular package, but to my dismay, I have now tried and discovered 3 more of the packages I had purchased to be the same sub-quality beef. I plan to take the rest of my purchase back to Walmart. TSD Sales and Distribution, Springdale Arkansas is the company Walmart buys this "slime" called ground beef from. The package says it is USDA Inspected. Yikes!! USDA, TSD Sales, and Walmart are all a part of this complaint.
I purchased from Walmart an 8-oz package of pre-sliced pepperoni for a basketball game party. After I had cut up all of the cheeses and prepared the tray with crackers, etc., I opened the pepperoni and instantly smelled "rotten eggs." I did a double-take, it was that bad. My husband actually sampled a piece and said it was horrid. It instantly changed his appetite for the party foods I had prepared. The date on the package was 06/06/2011. This is only January. I have purchased this brand every time we need pepperoni and I have never had such a problem. If you want me to continue my patronage, I would like a coupon for replacement. Thanks.
SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I purchased 2 1# packages of Corn King Bacon last week. Through the "window" it looked OK. I opened one package today for breakfast and found blood dripping inside the package and dark red blood spots on the bacon. I have never purchased bacon with blood inside the package. I could not cook it… very unpleasant to look at. I am very disappointed as I am retired and have to bargain shop to make ends meet. Having to throw away food, breaks my heart. I won't ever buy a Corn King product again, as I cannot take the chance of it being bad. I am going to write to the company to see if they will, hopefully, reimburse me for this awful bacon.
Bought a 12oz package of Ole Carolina Hickory Smoked Sliced Bacon today at Walmart. I brought it home and hubby decided to use it for BLT's. He started to take it out of the pack while I put away the rest of the groceries. He stops me to show me what he has. The bacon is EXTREMELY fatty (the slice viewed in the 'representative slice' tear-away hole is much less so). In many places the 'slices' are one stringy piece, and not separated from one another.
Was NOT equal to what the quality of this product has been before (have bought this brand name a few times). This brand name is cheaper than many others, and I have often bought it for that reason. It has never been of an equal quality with the other brands that I sometimes buy, but this time was of even lesser than usual. (Usually for such as sandwiches or breakfasts I buy the better stuff; this was actually intended for potato soup. I can usually get away with using this in soup; this time I would've been disappointed even had I used it for that.)
I have been buying this chicken for about 2 years without any complaints until tonight. About 3/4ths of my chicken breasts had weird blue and black flecks over top of it like someone grabbed them with dirty gloves. I also found two male beard hairs within the package. One on top with the paint flecks and one underneath the chicken. I think I have lost my appetite to ever buy this product again!
