NORTH WALES, PENNSYLVANIA -- After 3 years of living in a newly built home by W.B. Homes, we have had problems with our master bathroom shower tiling. They fixed the tile wall once at our 1-year anniversary, but unfortunately what they fixed did not last long. Two years later, the wall got soft and the tiles caved in.
A call was made to W.B. Homes (Lansdale, PA area) but their service department never responded. We brought in an outside vendor to fix the problem, but the vendor had to stop because to his surprise, W.B Homes, the builder of million dollar homes uses the cheapest supplies in its bathroom. Instead of using Wonderboard, they used a cheap drywall substitute. As a result, mold was found behind the tile through to the drywall, installation, and studs.
A complaint was made again and an actual W.B. Homes representative showed up and inferred W.B. does not stand behind their homes for 3 years, even though they consider themselves a luxury builder. Anyone considering buying from W.B. Homes, please make sure they are using 100% Wonderboard in the baths and showers. Plus it's buyer beware after 365 days of buying your new home. It is my opinion that this is lousy service and is unacceptable for a builder who considers themselves a high-end builder.
