Trying to Get Out of Contract

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- Service has been great, however, sales are a problem, and pricing is not listed for laser hair removal, how is this legal? I called and the salesperson send me a document over zoom which I feel is totally inappropriate to have a zoom consultation. Never mentioned that if I did not want the services and the contract needs to be canceled then the customer is responsible for the payment for the whole service that they never even utilized. They do not want to cancel the contract. They are tied up with Ally a loan company that also will not work with the customers to cancel the loan for services not rendered.

The salesperson never seems to give the same answer and takes so much time to answer questions that I know they are looking it up at the moment; they do not seem to have any familiarity with the treatment/package options. If a client has an issue financially, or any unfortunate event the company is not willing to work with the client. Unfortunate situations happen to everyone. Why is the company not held for the fraud they are committing. If a client does not want services they need to work with the client so they can keep the customer and not charge them for services not rendered. They forget that the customers are the reason why their business is running and looting a customer is only going to bring them down.

I would not recommend this institution due to its being not straightforward and keeping the customers in the dark. I was told that there would be no penalty if I canceled the contract or paid it in full but come to find out ally loaning stated customers need to pay the interest too. Customer services of the company stated customers are responsible for the whole package even if they do get the services. I was informed by the Ideal Image that ally can cancel the loan. I called ally and did the same. But now Ideal Image customer service is giving me the cold shoulder.

Now I feel as a customer I was intentionally misled signing up for packages or treatments, about the services or financial aid plus providing a 16 to 20-page contract when most clients might not read because they have trust in a company to sign up but find they are being cheated by offering lies. The laser treatment is so expensive compared to other competitive companies that do the whole body for less than 100 a month and have results. I feel Better Business Bureau and Federal trade commission need to be notified if they are unwilling to work with clients and cancel contracts for not being transparent. Trying to see if they will work with me or else need to expose the company to the media.

OMAHA, NEBRASKA -- BUYER BEWARE!!! This place is a scam and full of liars who will tell you whatever you want to hear. I had started treatments here about two years ago and I am much worse off now than I was two years ago. First off, at my consultation, I was told “You are a perfect candidate” and “hair grows in three phases so after three treatments you will have no more hair and the rest of the treatments are just for spot treating." So I was pressured at the consultation to sign the paperwork so they could hurry up and start working on me right away. (mistake number one)

Well after about four treatments, I spoke to someone about my concerns because I still had almost all of my hair growing back (And when they tell you hair doesn't grow back darker and coarser, they are lying to you some more because in fact it does). While talking to this employee about the situation, I was assured they would take care of me. They said if they needed to get me extra treatments at no charge they would to guarantee I would not be unsatisfied with the product. This was promised to me several times so at this point I went on with the treatments hoping they would stick to their word (get it in writing).

Close to the end of my paid treatments (I was paying for my whole entire arm, front and back up to my shoulders) I was pointing out to the technicians that the past couple times, the technician had completely skipped the back of my arm. I voiced my concern again because they charge you based on the area you are doing. So I am now paying for the service they are not providing me. When I pointed this out, once again I was promised extra free treatments to make up for the missed sections. I had accepted that offer at this time. (I should have gotten it in writing!!!)

During my last paid treatment, once again I voiced how I don't think the treatments had been working the whole time. She once again said she would file an unsatisfactory report for me and get me extra treatments till the problem was fixed. She schedules me for my next appointment and I come back as scheduled. This time however, I am asked for like $150 before they will treat me. When I inquire about this charge, I find out no one had ever filed anything about free treatments.

At this point when I point out how I am not happy with this product and was promised it would be taken care of, they pull me in back and look at my arms and are like “oh yea, it appears you still have a lot of hair. Let me take some pictures and file an unsatisfactory report which will take two weeks. And we will call you back then and if that doesn't work we can talk about getting your money back.”

It has been over a month and I have heard nothing back from them. My hair on my arms is WAY worse off now than it ever was before I started. They had charged me almost $5,000 for this service. I feel like this place is a scam and they will continue to tell you whatever you want to hear until they have taken all your money. This place is successful because of misrepresentation. They will promise you things the whole entire time but will not act on any of it. If they ever end up making the situation right, I will take down this review but in the meantime, look out for this place. IT IS A SCAM!!!

STRONGSVILLE, OHIO -- Do not sign or initial anything !! It is probably a contract saying you get zero refunds (paid for $500 in botox did not use a single unit and wanted to cancel my appointment and get my money back and they said NO). The employees at the actual place you get the services either have zero clue how their corporate office screws people or they play along and make it seem like “all you have to do is call them and they will take care of it“. Do NOT become a member! You sign yet another contract saying you are ok with them charging you $250 a year in AUTOMATIC RENEWALS. The results of anything I got done there were a JOKE. Please stay away!!!!

BOISE, IDAHO -- BUYERS REMORSE. There are plenty of other places to go through for laser hair removal that will provide the same or better service for less than $500 as opposed to $5,000. Do your research. Do not pay top dollar to be scammed. I was pressured into signing a huge stack of paperwork at my first consultation so that they could laser me that day. I was told I would be hairless after that first appointment. Not true. They didn't bother to tell me I had to be completely shaved for the treatment to be most effective, and the technician certainly didn't care or bother to tell me to shave prior to burning my hair with a laser.

I was told at consultation that hair, grows in three phases and after three treatments I would have no more hair and the following 6 treatments are just for spot treating. I have now had 4 treatments, and my bikini hair is growing out thick as ever and there are huge patches that the technician has missed every time. I was verbally guaranteed results but when I went in to voice my concern, was told that I am only guaranteed 9 treatments, and have to pay after that. I was told at my consultation that results are guaranteed or my money back. I should have recorded the doctor saying this. I am paying top dollar for a service that is not being provided.

You can get laser hair removal for $500 with the same lasers. Do not be scammed into going through Ideal Image. The only reason I went with them is that it was, “guaranteed lifetime results.” They have a huge stack of papers for you to sign that they rush through with you and don't expect you to read the fine print on every page. No matter how nice the doctor seems, these people know they are scamming you. They are successful because of advertising and misrepresentation. I chose to pay over $4,000 because the doctor told me at consultation that I was only paying more because it's 100% guaranteed with a lifetime warranty.

She said if my hair ever grows back, I can go to any Ideal Image in the country and be treated free. This is what the doctor told me, but the fine print words it a little differently. You're only given 9 treatments and have to,“co-pay” for anything after that, even if the treatments don't give you results. You can, “co-pay” for your treatment at any laser hair removal place. Ideal Image is ridiculously expensive and it does not provide you a better service than the other places that charge less than $500.

BUYER BEWARE. There are plenty of other places to go through for laser hair removal. Do not pay top dollar to be scammed. If Ideal Image were to actually provide me the service they told me I was paying for then I might change my mind. But presently, I am experiencing the worst buyers remorse of my life. Do not go through Ideal Image. If you have already made the mistake of going through Ideal Image, talk to any lawyers you know about getting out of contract.

JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA -- So I finished all nine treatments on my underarms. In the beginning, I was happy with the results, but after my hair has grown back and it's only been 2 months since my last treatment. I called to speak with someone about it and you are told you have to pay 45.00 more on top on the 1,000's you have already paid. When signing the contract it does state this so I can only blame myself. However, if I can save someone else a lot of money for a treatment that doesn't work I have done my job. Be aware! Ideal image is a money pit.

PITTSFORD, NEW YORK -- Ideal Image has an F (worst) rating with the Better Business Bureau: bbb.org/us/ny/amherst/pr….

Zero stars, the worst and sickest retail interaction of my life. The treatment I received at Ideal Image did not even come mildly close accomplish what they explicitly said it would; when I complained about this in a letter, they FULLY IGNORED my complaint and sent me a form letter which was posed as a real letter; then, when I talked to the manager on the phone, she repeatedly lied to me in eerie ways until it was so obvious that she could not speak truth that I had to tell her I would file a complaint with the BBB. To explain, I have average forehead wrinkles. Their nurse rightly noted (which was the only right thing they did!) that I have average wrinkles, and the nurse said that the "average dose" - "64 units for $640" - would be sufficient to make my forehead right or largely reduce all of the wrinkles. I chose 50 units for $500, to test it out. The result was very little difference, many of my wrinkles having no difference at all. (I really doubt they gave me 50 units, because my forehead was average, and there was so little difference, but THIS IS NOT THE CRUCIAL POINT of how sick they were to deal with). I sent a letter, stating the fact, that I had taken 78% of the treatment which was supposed to make my forehead right (largely reduce all wrinkles), but my forehead looked far more unchanged than righted (many wrinkles looking identical). And then I noted (in this letter) that their original diagnosis and treatment - 64 units - was obviously very wrong, it was obviously not enough to right my head, as they had said it would be. Since it was obvious that the original diagnosis and treatment was very wrong, I demanded (in this letter) some reasonable reparation, and I noted also that I was NOT going to simply come in and pay for the last 14 units, given that their original diagnosis and treatment was obviously very wrong. They never read my letter, replying with a form letter, claiming to me that the obvious problem was that I had not received the full 64 units, and adding that I simply need to "come and pay for the additional units and THEN MAYBE PAY FOR MORE UNITS TOO" (in order to right my head). If you consider what I wrote and what they wrote, they obviously ignored my complaint and sent me a form letter which was PROMOITING EXACTLY WHAT I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT: I did not want to come in and pay for the full 64 and more because their diagnosis was wrong, and their form letter simply stated that I should come in and pay for the full 64 and more. Finally, I spoke to the manager, Melissa Terrana, on the phone. Several times, I outlined my basic argument which, again, was this: they had diagnosed me as needing 64 units to right my face, and since 50 units had left my face almost the same and not right at all, obviously the original diagnosis was very wrong, and thus I need some reasonable reparation. Melissa began to lie, by acting like she had not heard my complaint, and just reiterating over and over, "The problem is that you need to get the full 64 units that was diagnosed, and then maybe pay for more units too. That's your problem." As I complained more by emphasizing that their ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS (of 64) WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY WONG, she then started to talk about how "Men's muscles are stronger than women's and need more botox," and then I replied, "And thus you just elaborated how your ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS WAS VERY WRONG because you did not originally say that I would need more than 64, so you should not give me reparations!" But then she replied absurdly, "The problem is that you must come in and get the full 64 and then MAYBE PAY FOR MORE BECAUSE YOU ARE A MAN WITH STRONGER MUSCLES." Obviously, her rhetoric was a twilight zone of false argument which would ignore my complaint endlessly. She could not reply to me in any reasonable way. She knew one scam sale, and she knew one scam sales pitch: they tell you it will cost X to fix your face, and then, when it clearly will cost more than X to fix your face, then they come up with crap about how you have to pay more to fix your face. It was sick!

Q Medical Spa fully botoxed my forehead for $400 in multiple sessions, while this Ideal Image charged me $500 for one session where they helped me little!

Worst Financial Mistake of My 20s.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- DO NOT give this company your money. Whatever you do, avoid this company all costs, people. Do not be fooled by success stories, do not be fooled by the 'helpful' and 'lovely' counter girls, and do not be fooled by the package deals offered to you at a discounted rate. I am officially on the other side of this experience, which means I'm now able to tell the full story.

What initially Drew me to Ideal Image was an advertisement I heard on the radio about summer package deals only being offered for a limited time only! When I first came here for a consultation, I was in good spirits and hopeful for results. The waiting room was stocked with success story after success story that spouted all kinds of promises. My consultation lasted less than an hour and I wasn't fully convinced this was right for me. I say that because I am fair haired and after reading the fine print, I learned laser hair removal is not very successful for blondes, even those with dark blonde hair like mine.

My hesitance led the consultant to bring in one of their licensed technicians to come in and take a look at my hair. She said somewhat cautiously that I'd make a good candidate, though she didn't look fully convinced. She took a look at my scalp and kind shrugged and said, yea sure. I should have left then, but I was hopeful so I stayed and signed off on the worst financial mistake of my early 20s. If you're reading this, that means after 3 years, I've finally paid it off. It may have been at a 0% interest rate for all 3 years, but this was still a GIANT MISTAKE that I must warn everyone else not to make.

I signed a contract for 7k for the following services: laser hair removal for my crown (widows peak and edges), pits, and full bikini line. Important info about myself that contributes a lot to this entire experience: I'm a person who suffers from pretty high anxiety and I'd like to think that I also have a decent threshold for pain, as I have several tattoos and piercings.

What I was not able to anticipate or predict was how severely laser hair removal would impact my anxiety. While I was given numbing cream to use before every visit, it still did not stop me from having a full blown panic attack after every session. I just could not handle that type of pain for whatever reason. I think I went to 3 full sessions before I threw in the towel and decided to stop subjecting myself to this anxiety inducing pain.

When it comes to my experience with technicians, I saw a different person every time I went - which also did not help with my anxiety. I had hoped there would be some level of consistency on that front, but there definitely was not. During my very first visit, the technician working with me explained which places would hurt the most based on what I'd signed up for, and proceeded with starting at the MOST painful spot (my crown). I asked her politely to start somewhere else, since I had no idea what to expect at that time. It was awful.

After throwing in the towel and explaining to everyone how this was not going to work for me and my anxiety, I was told that I could not get out of my contract. It was only then that I started digging around on the internet looking into similar horror stories and experiences. I had no choice but to continue paying for a service I could no longer receive. I refused to let them continue laser hair removal and demanded they give me something for my money so that this wasn't all a fucking waste. It was then that I decided to give Cool Sculpting a try. I will never forget my first encounter with the technician for that service, as she said something to me that I will never forget.

Now, I am fairly short and chunky in the middle, but I wear clothing that flatters my body type and hides my imperfections. As soon as I undressed enough for her to see what she would be working with, she said to me, "Wow, you really know how to dress for your body type." She made a few facial expressions along with this comment that insinuated that I was right to choose this service based on what she was looking at. This made me very self conscious and wished that there was someone nicer in the room to quell my nervousness and growing anxiety.

My first Cool Sculpting treatment was also my last. Not only was the remaining balance from laser hair removal not enough to cover more than one Cool Sculpting session, I also got zero results from that as well. I try to block that part of the experience from my mind, as the healing process had me out of commission for well over a week.

I understand that everyone heals differently, but this was just plain uncomfortable and awful to process afterwards. My stomach region felt like it didn't belong to me; like someone had strapped this dead weight to me that I couldn't really feel but that I had to go along my business as usual and without issue. It was the strangest sensation and I don't recommend it to others. Beware and stay away. Keep your money and use it elsewhere.

Worst Credit Mistake Of My Life

GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK -- After I signed up, I used the laser removing service about 4 times before I got into a car accident and some financial problems. I paid my monthly dues, and I was happy that it was going down. I started on February 2017, and on January 2019, my balance was $2,904.45. On February 27th, 2019, I just checked it and it is $4,356.78!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? How is it that it increases by $2,000 dollars in 1 month time? I called the Ideal Community Bank, and they said that they have added ALL the interest since I first opened the account.

For someone that is ALREADY struggling to fix their credit line, better their financial future and take care of sick parents... this was a LOW BLOW. And they "can't do anything for you at this time." If you're in your 20s, I know what it feels like to want a smooth, fit and beautiful body. I'm 27 now and I got this service when I was 25. Take my advice and DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD! YOU'LL REGRET IT LATER! I PROMISE YOU!!!

Very Frustrated After Being a Client for Years
StarStarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarBy -
Rating: 2/51

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -- I have been going to Ideal Image for almost 10 years. I have had many parts of my body treated. After about 4 years I noticed hair coming back so I started getting touch ups again. There has been a complete change from the way Ideal Image used to be ran to the way it is ran now. The inconsistency of service is terrible.

The first four years I went for treatments they always made me feel like they understood my embarrassment and they genuinely wanted to make sure when I was paying $1700.00 for an area that it was treated correctly and the hair was gone even if it took additional treatments they did it right. Now it's managed very differently where every pulse is charged after 40 and it costs $50.00 per touch up for 40 pulses.

I had the front part of my neck treated because of PCOS and hirsutism and the first four years they treated all the way to my ears covering the whole under part of my neck. They shaved all of it every treatment and then treated it. When I returned for the touch up they said the part of my neck they always treated before was not covered and I could pay to have that done. It's ridiculous.

I do appreciate the people and know they are just doing what they are trained to do but I have spent massive amounts of money at Ideal Image to have no hair on certain parts of my body and the way every pulse is charged now is crazy. When I get a touch up on a part of my body I have paid for the entire part of the body should be treated again. Not just 40 spots. I should get a thorough treatment on the whole area if it's needed. I have spoken to the manager about getting other areas done but have chosen to not work with Ideal Image in the future because of this.
