Fisher & Paykel Complaint - Do Not Purchase Fisher & Paykel Appliances
I purchased the Fisher & Paykel washing machine from Lowe's on 1/3/07. I have had this washing machine 2yrs and have just had my 4th service call on 2/17/09, today is 2/22/09 and again it is not working; every 6 months another service call. The pump has been repaired, it has quit pumping out water and just stops mid-cycle. The repairman said I have too much lint and it is plugging the pump. Too much lint? I sure I don't have anymore lint than other families. I have emailed the company many times asking to speak to upper management; no luck. I get a nice customer service girl named "Lisette" they have sent their company service representative to my home, you get a lesson on doing laundry. They even sent me a lint catcher to insert into the agitator. Why was this product developed? Could it be that they have this same issue often? I now have a complaint against the company with the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully, they will be able to come up with a solution. I will continue to do my laundry and hope with each addition load, the motor/pump or computer will blow-up!!!
I wonder how much I can get from the scrap yard, I'm sure not enough to purchase a new washing machine. And shame on Lowe's for telling me they don't know of any complaints against Fisher-Paykel. I am also done with appliance shopping at their store. Going straight to an old fashion mom and pop appliance store.
