Elizabeth NJ Ruby Tuesday Food & Service

OHIO -- The Ruby Tuesday on Glimcher Realty Blvd. in Elizabeth, NJ really was special to us. We'd just had a day of tough travel (Newark Airport-need we say more?) and wanted a bite to eat. Ruby Tuesday was right next to Country Inn and Suites by Carlson (also a fine place) so we walked on over. The service was fairly fast for a Friday night (10 minutes to be seated). The waitress was friendly and courteous. The food was great (salad bar was wonderful). The restaurant was clean (bathrooms, too). These weary travelers - thank you, Ruby Tuesday! You made our day when we needed you!

Complaint About Ruby Tuesday

FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- On August 19, 2007 I place a order two meals to go the Louisiana fried shrimp dinner and the Rib eye dinner at Ruby Tuesday location on Ramsey St. in Fayetteville, N.C. with curbside pick up giving the information about the color of the car and the call back phone number and my last name as I have done so many times in the past but no more.

To my surprise when my daughter got to Ruby Tuesday after waiting in car for 20 min and then going into Ruby Tuesday, one of the employer at the Ruby Tuesday try to say that I may have order from another Ruby Tuesdays. I have order from this Ruby Tuesday many time and I can read and know one phone number from the other location here in Fayetteville. The manager was of no help. They did not do anything to solve the problem.

Poor Service - Rude Manager

WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA -- I intended to treat my family (including parents and nieces) to a night of dining at your restaurant. The waitress was pleasant enough although it took some time to receive the food. I requested to see the manager and, in private (away from the customers) I lodged a complaint about the time it took to receive our meals (over an hour). I indicated that I would like our food in 5 minutes.

Upon reseating myself, the manager approached me in a most offensive manner, claiming I put my hand in her face and that she will not allow such behavior by another individual. I have no recollection of this, only indicating that I wished to have my food in 5 minutes. Upon further berating by the manager, I finally leaped to my feet and informed her I intended to leave. She accepted my departure, informed me that I did not have to pay, and escorted my party out of the building.

The most disturbing action was that I took the appropriate courtesy of discussing this in confidence but she showed a complete lack of courtesy by embarrassing me in front of other customers. I felt belittled, humbled, embarrassed, and dumbfounded by her actions. She caught me in a most awkward moment and I did not know how to respond other than leaving the establishment. I wish to never meet another individual like this manager again. Please note that I have no intention of ever eating at another Ruby Tuesday's restaurant and will never provide a positive review regarding this restaurant or franchise.

MILFORD, DELAWARE -- My husband and I had not visited a Ruby Tuesdays for a while, but did so this weekend. I ordered the Steak and Lobster Tails dinner. When my food arrived, I had to laugh. The lobster tails were so small. I have had shrimp that was bigger. I have NEVER seen lobster tail that small. I bet it is illegal for fisherman to take lobster out of the water that is that small. It was really funny.

DEKALB, ILLINOIS -- ** served us and we were so pleased by his friendliness and patience in allowing us to visit before ordering. All food was served in a timely manner and all request were cheerfully taken care of. We were most pleased by ** and want management to know how much we enjoyed our dinner.

Bad Rib Eye Steak

GULF BREZZE, FLORIDA -- In all my years of eating steak. Long Horns, Texas Road House, Road House, or any other restaurant that serves steak, I have NEVER had such a FAT content steak than Ruby Tuesday. More than 2/3rds of my steak was FAT. I will never eat steak at Ruby Tuesday EVER again!! Nor will I ever endorse any steak from Ruby Tuesday. NEVER.

The Food Was Nasty and Had a Foul Smell

CLINTON, MARYLAND -- I ordered the petite steak and rice pilaf with a steak sauce. The rice had a foul smell. The steak sauce was rank and nasty. I was given the opportunity to order something else and by the time that order came my taste for food was gone. I paid for the two meals that I ordered in addition to my daughter's meal.

TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY -- Watching TV and seeing your ad about your free salad bar, led us to have dinner at Ruby Tuesday, Toms River, NJ, yesterday, June 4th for our 63rd anniversary. We ordered and then we're going to the salad bar and we're told that it is only for special items which we did not see on the menu. We did not see on TV that you had to order special items and the waitress did not tell us that. It was very embarrassing and we feel it is false advertising.

Too Many Drug Users

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- I was employed by Ruby Tuesday in Orlando, Fl for over a year. I hated working there. 80% of the workers were either on cocaine or weed. My advice, if you are applying at a company that doesn't drug test, move on. I've found in my experience that working for a company that doesn't test is not healthy.
