CANTON, OHIO -- If you are a woman or a human being for that matter and need to use the restroom there are very limited accommodations. We always deliver on time but sit here forever waiting to get unloaded. If you need to use the restroom, shipping office will gladly point you to the porta john or tell you to walk a couple blocks over to Mcdonalds. No thanks, and if it wasn't forced dispatch would never come back.
TENNESSEE -- Purchased a second Ham from UGO and is very pleased with both
Excellent taste no very salty with a very good ham taste all the way down to the bone
Will purchase another one when money is ok
Please do not change the ham it is good to the bone
save some meat on it and put it into a pot of pinto beans along with a big pan of fresh
cornbread, great meal
keep up the good work
INDIANA -- Bought 8 plus pound spiral sliced ham and heated it in the oven as instructed on the package, 325 oven, 15 minutes per pound. I even put the oven to only 300 and after 2 hours (8+ lb ham, 15 minutes per pound, right?) I ended up with all the ham's juices in the pan and shriveled up dry slices of ham. Yuck! Never again Sugardale.
FREMONT, OHIO -- I really looked forward to having the ham for Christmas dinner. It was awful because it was so salty. I thought maybe making it into soup would help. I made two kinds of soup and got very little improvement. I'm very disappointed.
Purchased a 7# Sugardale portion ham. It looked good. But after unwrapping, it was solid fat. I got about 1-1/2 lbs of useable meat, most of that riddled with fat. The only use was for soup, as it would not have fed the family even once had I roasted it whole. Very, very disappointed. I have been buying hams for 50 years, have never seen such a horrible cut.
CANTON, OHIO -- Lately, I've been buying "Premium Thick Sliced Bacon" because my Dad is tired of having his bacon cook up to nothing. Being that I only find the Premium brand in only one store... I decided to try the Sugardale Thick Sliced Hickory Smoked Bacon. Why not? Sugardale is a good company. At over $6.00 for the 1.5 pound of bacon, it can't be too bad IF it's as good as the Premium bacon. This morning I opened the Sugardale bacon and peeled off the first slice (See photo)... I could NOT believe it! It was cut so thin it actually fell apart! OK, maybe that was just one piece... so I continue to peel away the bacon slices and one slice after the other were cut exactly the same.
If I wanted the paper thin slices like this I could have gone with the $2.99 per pound brand! This Sugardale Thick sliced bacon can't even compare to Premium's thick sliced bacon! What a rip off... and they package it onto a styrofoam tray so you really can't tell how thick it is cut when you look at it. I'm very disappointed with Sugardale, they usually have good products worth the money you pay but in the case of their Thick sliced bacon... Needless to say, I will be going back to the Premium brand even if it's only sold in one store.
Today, I just received two packs of Sugardale Thick sliced bacon 1 1/2 pounds each as a replacement for the package in which this review was written.
Not only did they send me the bacon, it came in a nice Sugardale styrofoam cooler that I can keep in the back of my car for frozen foods when I go shopping!
