ABINGDON, MARYLAND -- This place was a total JOKE!!! I'll NEVER go there again. First of all, the drive-thru was busy so I walked inside and joked with the cashier that no one wanted to get out the car so I would be getting faster service. He looked at me with NO expression and just took my order. I thought "okay". Well, after waiting 15 min. for 4 flatbread chicken bacon and ranch, I asked what was going on. And he just looked at me with no response, went back and talked with someone and came back to me saying it has been taken care of and I would get 2 free wraps. Yay, I was really happy.

5 minutes later, another employee came up to me and asked me to pick anything from the menu and I could have it for free. "Sure I would love for someone to spit in my food" is what I said. (Not the most pleasant thing to say but, I was beyond mad.) FINALLY I got my food!!! Almost 30 minutes later, I'll NEVER go there again. My brother has had the same issue there. My daughter has Pneumonia, I was just trying to get something EASY to eat and spend more time with her. I could have made a 4-course meal, listened to music, HAPPY. At least, I would have been in a better mood!!!

Wrong Order

Again, Taco Bell had someone who cannot understand the ENGLISH LANGUAGE and screwed up my order!! I even repeated the order twice (2). I am so sick of this I have finally decided to write PepsiCo with a complaint but their website says I cannot log on at this time!! I drove six miles to order food and got home and the order was not right!! Will not drive the six miles again, will go to Taco Cabana where at least they get the order right and can speak ENGLISH!! PepsiCo you ought to be ashamed!! This is Texas and part of the U.S.A.!!

Never going back!

NORTH LOGAN, UTAH -- I made a short comment on the Taco Bell website, but since there wasn't enough room, here is the full version: On Wed. April 20, 2011 the Taco Bell was a little busy, the ordering went OK, we waited a while for our food, got regular hard-shell tacos, not the alfresco I ordered.

The cashier then casually went around wiping off a couple of tables, pushing the paper & food scraps onto the floor, then he saw an 18" puddle of water that had been sitting on the floor. Someone had put a dozen napkins on it to try to soak it up, so he picked up the napkins, carried them to the trash can, then proceeded back to his station to chat with some friends.

Another worker from the back also came to the counter with a vacuum-sealed bag of food and proceeded to open it there, while chatting with the same friends. We were there at least 30 min., no one attempted to clean up the rest of the spill, so customers had to walk around it. Also, there never seems to be a manager there, or anyone checking to see that things get done. The eating area is never clean.

As for the employees, they don't seem to find the dedicated, helpful, caring kind. We really like the food and have been going to this location maybe 6-7 times a year since it opened, hoping it will improve or maybe a new manager will make a difference, but this is the last straw, and we are not going back. Other family members say they have also quit because they use the drive-through and never once have they both gotten what they ordered.

What's going on at the home place?

DELAND, FLORIDA -- We go to Taco Bell quite a bit for the food and low prices, but all of a sudden prices go up, portions go down and free senior drinks are now 1.25 ea. Yes, we get a 10% disc. but it's still 1.12 cents for what we got free. Bad enough the government is screwing us on our social security for the last two years with no cost of living raise - now we are getting it from you too. Please consider the seniors. The McDonald's double cheese for a dollar is starting to look better and better. Thank you for letting me vent, but most of us are on fixed incomes and cannot afford the pricier eateries.

Where Are Your Standards Taco Bell?

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I know that times are tough right now, gas prices are high and companies that package food are decreasing container size and increasing prices. But what exactly am I paying for Taco Bell? I visit Taco Bell maybe twice a month and at first I thought the lack of meat, abundance of lettuce and 5 strands of cheese was due to employees not paying attention or caring. But after visiting 2 other locations in the city I see now it must be Taco Bell's new policy. Taco shells filled with lettuce and 5 strands of cheese? Really? How many customers do you have to lose to your current practices to be down to all lettuce and no cheese?

Great Soft Tacos

CHESTER, MARYLAND -- Feb 2011 - We recently went to our favorite Taco Bell on Route 50 in Chester Md and had soft drinks and soft tacos for dine in. As we Sat at a table by the window, I watched the female cashier who was taking orders while cleaning and mopping. First she mopped half the floor and then stopped to take an order. Then she mopped the other half of the floor and the two rest rooms (with the same bucket of dirty water) before stopping again to wait on customers and to take additional orders. She never used gloves and did not wash her hands before waiting on the next customer after handling the dirty mop.

It is safe to mop/sweep the floor while people are eating? My 3 cents is that I do not feel that I should have to eat my meal while watching someone mop the dining room floor and I also feel that the cashier should not have to mop & handle money and touch the cash register with dirty hands. Plus: Taco Bell trays no longer have paper liners on them.

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- I went to Taco Bell drive through at 11 pm tonight (after I got off of work) and had an interesting experience. This Taco Bell is brand new with a lot of bells and whistles. Their intercom made things easy to understand and the employee I encountered was well spoken, very polite, (and well, cute too). However, the Taco Bell's in my location have a reputation of being slow and this one was no exception. They had three windows at this location and after I ordered, I was told to go to the second window. That did take a while.

So, to occupy my time, I saw they had charts for sales, schedules, etc.. Now, I was unable to read that data, but they also had daily speed goals. The only one they met was the time it took me to order. I waited almost three times their speed goals to get my food. Of course, it being 11 pm, and a minimum wage job, I expected this.

Bone in Meat
By -

I went to Taco Bell as I used to go 4-5 times per week at least. When I bite down on my taco I chipped my front tooth on a piece of bone in the meat. I swallowed the bone by accident so I didn't have it to show them. They said, "Too bad you pay for your own tooth." So I commented on their Facebook page and my comments were deleted just like the other negative comments that were posted. They only leave the positive comments.

They also blocked me from commenting further on anything on their page. Bottom line, they are losing thousands of dollars I used to spend there plus everyone I tell about it, because they wouldn't pay for my 1-2 hundred dollar tooth repair. So who wins in the end? Not them!!!

No Meat!

LENEXA, KANSAS -- We went to Taco Bell at 6:30 pm last night. About 10 cars in line but a few customers inside. We decided to get the XXL Chalupa w/ crunchy taco and the new flatbread chicken sandwich w/ 2 soft tacos and chicken soft taco. About 7 minutes later, we received our food. I opened the XXL Chalupa, NOTHING like the picture. There was literally less than two teaspoons of meat on there. While the picture makes it look like you can't hardly fit this chalupa in your mouth, this one could be rolled 3 times because there were hardly any toppings.

So while my husband went up to complain, the guy behind the counter took the chalupa, apologized, and said he will add some more meat but the pictures are always misleading. The girl working in the back, putting the tacos together started shaking her head in disappointment. He brought the chalupa back to counter and it was better. So we opened up the other tacos to see what they looked like. Needless to say, the crunchy taco literally had 5 pieces of cheese, about 10 shreds of lettuce, about one tablespoon of meat.

The flatbread chicken sandwich had about 5 pieces of chicken and tons of sauce. The sauce was good. Every time we go to this one location, they continue to tell us they were bought in November 2009 under franchise. If you ever go to a franchised Taco Bell, the prices will be higher, food quantity be lower and it is not really worth the money. I would have been happier buying a pizza from Pizza Hut for the amount of money we spent, AND having leftovers the next day.
