Excellent Bacon!!!

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I reluctantly purchased Corn King bacon at my fiancé's request. We literally debated in front of the breakfast meats for more than two minutes, with pauses and sighs included. It was a whole dollar cheaper than the "less than stellar" Great Value bacon we normally select; we could purchase three packages for the price of two at $2.99 for twelve ounces.

Long story short, my cooking experience with this bacon consisted of me saying it was how "old school bacon" used to cook. It wasn't all white fat and didn't shrivel to the point of non-existence, and just looked delicious. As for the taste, it was beyond expectations. I expected a weak flavor, but no. Just delicious. And I'm not one to do research on an unknown distributor and sing their praises, but hey… It's goooood. Lol.

The Worst Bacon I Have Ever Bought

SPRINGDALE, ALASKA -- The fat content was 90% in a one pound package. How can this company be proud of distributing such an inferior product? I bought two packages of this bacon, but I won't be buying any more. The price is way too high and the actual amount of pork meat is way too small. The package looks great in the store, but the surprise you get at home is very disappointing. I will look on any package of meat in the future for the words TSD Sales and Distribution. If I find those words, I will not purchase that product.

SRINGDALE, ARKANSAS -- I bought a so-called lean Corn King ham. I don't think they know what lean means. It was so full of fat I couldn't eat it. I gave it to my dogs over a 5 day period so they wouldn't get the runs from so much fat in it!!!

Chicken Quarters Filled With Extra Stuff for Weight

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- Bought Gold Leaf Chicken Quarters from Wal Mart. Usually they are good but lately have been filled with backs and extra skin off other chickens to add to the weight. I am fully aware the some extra fat and skin on a quarter section is acceptable and needs to be trimmed but adding extra fill is not acceptable. If happens again I will not buy products from TSD.

I purchased a case (5 of the 10lb bags) of chicken leg quarters. The package states “leg quarters” and that “an extra leg or thigh may be used to make up the weight”. There were a minimum of three full backs in each bag not attached to the quarters and several pieces were both legs, thighs and the full back, unseparated. Walmart refunded my money, the company has yet to respond.

SPRINGDALE, ALASKA -- We bought a 16 oz. pack of Ole Carolina bacon. We had to dig through the pack to find the meat. We have a food scale ended up with 10 oz of fat. The worst bacon we have ever seen.
