WACO, TEXAS -- I ordered over $2K worth of furniture and was told I could have it delivered the next day and the delivery person would call me. I never received a call. I went back to the store and demanded a refund. They promised my delivery and $100 back. They said my stuff would be delivered at 11. I didn't get it until 12:30. I called the regional office and complained. When my furniture was delivered they said it would cost an additional $50 to assemble. I told them take it all back. The delivery people felt bad and offered to assemble for free.

While they assembled it the sales person called and yelled at me about assembly is not in the contract and they would fire the delivery people. I told him had I known I would be responsible for putting everything together I would had bought it somewhere else. I will never buy from them again!

AKRON, OHIO -- Went in and got a couch. It was a set but they did not have the loveseat available. So I bought the couch and paid for it in full. I didn't want them to deliver it because I didn't want to pay the delivery charge. I left it there until I found someone to come and pick it up for me which was about a week. When I went to pick up my sofa they had sold it to someone else. Said that they had a new one in stock but it was on the truck and that they could deliver it by 4 pm. I do not want to pay for delivery charges. That was the reason for me picking it up myself. Very unprofessional.

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- Oh how I wish I would have read these reviews before buying from this company! While my first impression was a good one... I liked the non-pressure approach of the warehouse... The delivery has been a nightmare. We bought a sofa/love seat and bed frame and were told it would be delivered next day (Sun). After a phone call at 11 am I had hopes we'd receive the furniture in the afternoon.

They finally arrived at 8 pm and were missing the frame! They asked for a window that it could be delivered the next day and I gave them 3 hours. They called and said it would be there but hours later still no truck. I called and told them I had to leave and they promised that it would be delivered today... After reading the reviews, I don't have super high hopes! Help!

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- First off this company has a lot of issues. I called them and asked how much delivery charges are and they wouldn't tell me. They said "It's reasonable. Come in, we will treat you right". Also asked if they still had the living room package deal, he said "yes and we have several to choose from." So I go there, couldn't find the place, so I called them and the lady that answered didn't even know where she was. So I find the place and asked about the package deal they had advertised, the sales guy said they only had 1 to choose from and it did not look nowhere near the advertisement. It did state on website that items shown may not be included in group package.

OK so you assume maybe a different color couch, table or lamp, but this couch was so small not even close to what was shown, very misleading. Came home empty handed. Later in the day I decided that I'd go ahead and get the package so I called back and asked if I came in today to pay for it will I get it that day? The lady said "YES but you need to get in here ASAP" if I wanted it today, cause their delivery is starting to fill up for the day. So I go back. I was also wanting a mattress, so I asked the sales guy where they were and he showed me. I wanted to laugh. The mattress was only maybe 1 inch thick, more like a padding, way far from a mattress.

So I said "never mind I'll just take the package deal", then he said it would take 6 days to arrive to their warehouse after being told I'd get it today. Glad I didn't give them a dime after reading complaints all over the web about them. I wasted 2 hours of driving and my time cause of this. Most of their items are out of stock. I think their whole warehouse here in Indy is just models. They try to get you in there and then scam you. Top it all off their sales people are very rude.

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Ugh! This is this only way describe this place, totally false advertising and the web site is a complete lie... Sale said, "I can buy a king memory foam mattress for $333." Well, that is not true at all! This bed only sells for $1000 when I went buy it. All the furniture is made so cheaply and not worth the price!! Please don't waste your time. I'm a bargain hunter too but... Just beware!!!

COLUMBUS -- We purchased leather Sofa and Love Seat from American Freight with warranty (additional $85) for 5 years. In 3 years the leather on sofa and love seat started to peel off. We called the warranty and they said they don't cover if the leather is peeling off. So basically we have both the furniture pieces useless as no one can sit on it because of the leather peeling off. I would never buy any furniture from them again.

YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN -- I bought a mattress and box spring from American Freight in Ypsilanti in May 2010. After 15 months the mattress/box spring squeaked horribly. I went to the store, talk to the manager, was told to contact warranty company directly, which was ABC Bedding Group. American Freight manager told me he didn't have a phone number for them. I wrote a letter to them, no response. My lawyer wrote a letter to them, no response. I will never, ever purchase anything from this store ever again!!!

NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA -- Bought a mattress set, within weeks mattress was sagging. Was replaced, new mattress sagged within weeks. Tried to work with credit card company, they were not much help as long as AF was willing to replace mattress. Decided to contact BBB, they contacted AF, who replaced mattress yet again. A week later it was sagging. Worked with BBB to get a full refund! Wanted to share this info in hopes of helping others. If you contact BBB, make sure you mention that AF's corporate office is in Ohio.

ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA -- I purchased a kitchen table set and sectional couch from them less than 4 months ago. The table had to be replaced 2xs and the legs st fell out and the couch is sinking in. I put wood under the pillars to hold it up so it doesn't sinks any lower. I paid cash $1100-1500 down the drain. Just don't waste your hard earn money at this furniture store.

MELBOURNE, FLORIDA -- This used to be my go to place for furniture but my last experience was horrible. I was misquoted prices on delivery, cost of assembly, and the arrival of backordered furniture. I spoke with a very unapologetic manager whose response was "Oh the salesperson is new!" This was very unprofessional and all of my concerns were completely blown off. If I could return my purchase I would. I used to recommend this store to everyone but I will no longer do so.
