LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA -- My husband and I have been faithful customers to Badcock for the last two years to date. We went to make our final payment today online and came to the surprising realization that managing your account online is not available. We have NEVER missed a payment and because this service isn't offered we are unable to pay our final payment on time.

Not only that but my husband has been on the phone with your "Supposed" very reliable customer service staff for over 15 MINUTES and nobody has answered to assist him!!! We are very disappointed and hopefully in the future you will have better service to suit someone with a need like ours.

This is very unfortunate because the Badcock staff in Lynchburg VA that we have been working with have been more than wonderful.
However, This online and telephone service you offer is NO GOOD!

A lot of these "2 years - no interest" deals are like this. They are not going to do anything to make it easy to make that last payment on time. They want you to go a few days over the limit so they can then back-bill you for two years of accrued interest.

If you just can't pass up one of these interest free offers, just plan from day one that you will make that final payment weeks (or even a month) before it is due. Thanks for sharing your experience with us - let us know how it works out.

Do you mean "Babcock", or did you say "Badcock" to be sarcastic? Either way, furniture stores and mattress shops tend to be the biggest ripoff joints out there, since furniture and mattresses tend to be high-markup items.

and I'd also suggest making sure that you're able to make payments in person at the store as well, so that you can avoid any sudden "outages"

How did you make your previous payments? Badcock doesn't offer online payments, but you can make the payment on the phone with the store directly. Also, I always receive my statement about 3 weeks before the due date. That leaves plenty of time to mail in a check if I don't want to pay over the phone.

on 6/06/14 I purchased a dining room set, rocking recliner, area rug and end tables, I was told delivery would be 6/26/14 as they were busy, someone would call day before to schedule delivery time. I had to call them at 4:30 pm on the 25, they called back to advise delivery was between 2-6 p.m. By 6:30 p.m. we had not heard from anyone I called delivery, the guy said oh they would be here soon, as they were running late. By 7:40 p.m. still no furniture or phone call, I called again spoke to the delivery mgr. he advised it would be another hour to hour and a half. I told them to keep it, as I did not want the furniture delivered. I would not have been so mad it they would have had the decency to call and let me know they were running late. I was suppose to pick my daughter up at 5 from work, had to have someone else get her, we had dinner plans, had to cancel. Would NEVER recommend them!!!! Oh by the way the delivery mgr was a a jerk, very nasty!!!!

Badcock Sells Bad Equipment with no warranty

GREENSBORO NC, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchased a 57in Flat Screen TV on 11/04/08 great customer service because it was a sell. When I purchased the TV I made sure that I purchased a extended warranty. Approx one month after purchasing the TV it broke. I called the store that I purchased the TV from and they told me that I needed to contact Samsung and provided me with the number. I called Samsung and they sent a Teck out and he ended up having to rebuild the whole TV. (I'm really upset because badcock has sold me a lemon per teck)(per badcock nothing I can do but continue to call Samsung every time it breaks due to warranty)Well then it breaks again in 04/08/09 call badcock and they send me to Samsung another teck comes out and takes the TV for another week and brings it back once again stating that it is the lamp. Once again badcock doesn't care they have sold me a lemon, of cource in Oct the TV breaks again and another teck comes out gets the TV and he states that something in the TV continues to blow the TV. Well of course now the TV is broken again and its past the year and I have to go threw the extended warranty now. I'm really upset because threw it all I thought I was working with Badcock Furniture the Corp and I have been dealing with a Francise. Difference in a Francise is they don't follow the same rules as Corp. I really feel this is so unfair to the consumers because this is where people are mislead for a dollar. I can go on the web site and research a company all day but it will not tell me that this company is francise until you have a complaint about the service. Her I am with a 57in black screen TV and a bill and no one cares at the company because they have made there money off the TV. You call customer service and all they want to say is I working on it to see what we are going to do. But I have been dealing with this for a year and you are getting made with me what's wrong with this picture I'm the customer what happen to listening and understanding is all companies getting like domino's pizza hold please.

Bad Quality and No Warranty

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- Be careful!!! Don’t spend your money like I did, buying something that appears to be cheap and good, because they are only cheap. The furniture that they called bounded leather will last only two years, after that they start deteriorating, pealing, and they only (if you pay) give you 1 year warranty, because they know. I threw away $ 1800.00 buying furniture in this place

FLORIDA -- Badcock is just the worst store anyone could visit. Please don't buy a dime from them. Furniture is the cheapest and customer service is terrible.

Poor Management

TAMPA, FLORIDA -- Recently, I purchased a Sofa at Badcock Furniture in South Tampa. It took a few days for the store to receive the Sofa from their warehouse, and when I went to pick it up, it was covered with plastic and a form of paper to shield it from dirt and damage. I took it home in my friends pickup and when I got home, I removed some of the plastic and noticed that there was a rub mark and a tear to the fabric of the sofa. I took it back to the store, and the sales lady took it back without any issue (though she did say that she thought it may have been damaged and it did not surprise her that I had to bring it back). I asked if they would include free delivery for the reorder as it was the companies fault that it was damaged. She had to check with a manager. A manager called me back about an hour later, and said that they could not give free shipping, as they did not know whether I damaged or they did. This manager was not kind in her tone, and was very distrustful of me. I finally decided to cancel the order, and told her so, and only after this did she relent to deliver the couch to me. Overall, I had a very poor experience ad Badcock and would never go back there for anything again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of good furniture stores in Tampa...Badcock should be near the bottom of the list.

Badcock Furniture Store Provides Horrible Customer Service

FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- Badcock Furniture Store Provides Horrible Customer Service. After paying over 75% of my balance due, I informed Management that I would be making a payment a week late. I was then informed that it was not a problem, but received harassing phone calls several times daily both on my work and cell phone.

After informing the customer service representative to stop calling my job, I was informed (in other words threatened) that they would come pick up my merchandise.

The only time I've ever seen furniture places wanting to "repossess" their merchandise for non payment is those that have missed a few payments.

I have read reviews on the three stores mentioned above and while I do not doubt their authenticity or sincerity, I would like to help try and calm some anger and dissatisfaction. My husband has recently purchased these three stores and with this new ownership he brings 25+ years of experience in the furniture business. His number one goal IS customer service and he has always gone the extra mile to ensure it, even at his own financial expense. I can assure you that you would never have these types of problems if you were to visit these stores again. I encourage you to at least go back in to the stores, introduce yourselves and explain what has happened in the past. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the change in atmosphere and customer service.

I would like to take the opportunity to apologize for the situations that you were in and I do assure that this is NOT a typical Badcock Furniture reaction.

After 18 yrs of service many rewards,some from state representatives etc & 30 yrs of hard credit worthiness we bought into the BADCOCK lies.Over night this BADCOCK company ruined us without cause in the middle of a 1.5 million dollar conversion. We bought a BADCOCK home furnishings center franchise. After 2 yrs into the business we where told all stores had a new renovation to take on, this is at the franchises expense. The name would also change to BADCOCK & MORE along with a whole new look and color theme. This was hard on moat but we were okay as we took this store to a new height. We for the first time made this store a producer in excess of a million dollars our first year. We funded with banks the SBA etc. This company BADCOCK & MORE is bad...business. We bought our franchise for a few reasons. My husband was faced without having a job, and 10 yrs of service with the BADCOCK CORP,previous to this he had left BADCOCK for a few months and had gone to another state. We had moved looking into starting new careers.BADCOCK had a no re-hire policy as well, but had called and asked us to come back and manage this location. We managed this location for 2 more yrs. Then bought this location. As this location was closing and they had no prospective buyers. Other BADCOCK stores wanted to buy what is called the DEBT and merge this store to another as this location lost money and was used as a tax write-off.This meant they would have lost a store yet again. The owner of the store previous to us was in-fact a BADCOCK VICE -PRESIDENT! (STILL IS). We worked hard and produced income for both us and BADCOCK, my husband was called a sandbagger. Nick named by the VICE-PRESIDENT!!!! The inventory was and is owned by the BADCOCK CORP,and consigned to all the stores, they pay what they call a SETTLEMENT of 25% of the total store sales and receipts at the end of each month. Well as you can guess they didn't pay 44,000.00 to us at the end of this either. They claimed that we had shortages, we asked for (PROOF)..to no avail because we had none. We got a LAWYER and was told to file suit for CIVIL-THEFT. They have fought us all the way and still haven't done the right thing. But it just so happens they open all dealer shows with PRAYER,it should be PLAYER instead. Corporate lawyers won't work on a contingency basis. They new we had all our lives tied up in this business financially as its their business plan-franchise that;s bought. Our INVENTORY was always on the low side as far as lost merchandise we had a 2.5 million dollar producer plus with inventory loss of 1800.00 at worst which is paid back by us the DEALERS! Our employee's where mostly family and all had no JOBS...over night. Till this day they still close stores...WITH-OUT CAUSE.(This is in writing). I addition to the franchise matter ruined credit, lost wages, without cause they do the same type of business to their customers. We also had what they call a DEALER SHOW twice a year, at this convention dealer stores are recognized on performance levels, we were in the TOP 10 stores 4 times and just four days before they stole our franchise we WON yet another prize of a 61' color T.V. As you can guess they didn't give this up either, we called small claims court and got a T.V. not the (RIGHT ONE) OF coarse.. In 2000,we beat out 350 stores in a Harley-Davidson contest and " WON " 10,000.00 OR A BIKE. Notice at that time there was 350 now down to approx:320 stores. Even the PRESIDENT of the BADCOCK CORP, left early.. By the way he was the first ever outside source to run or manage this company! He took his MONEY an ran...We could go on and on, the bottom line is they lie, steal laugh and profit on the misery of dealers and the consumers. After 30 years of MARRIAGE, 18 YEARS WITH "BADCOCK" A 1.5 MILLION DOLLAR BANKRUPTCY!!! WE WANT TO BE HEARD!!!!! P.S We have been told to re-coup any monies from this we have to go to" ARBITRATION". WE are seeking 2.8 MILLION FOR OUR LOSSES. DON'T BUY A "BADCOCK & MORE" FRANCHISE ever..ever..ever.. P.S.S. " BADCOCK will treat you right That's the slogan they use but...they forget to tell you that's only till the ink dries on your check. " And one more thing they have removed, or had this removed from the 4 postings you wrote about!!! We will continue to keep them from getting their business to grow in the STATE OF "VIRGINIA" WE moved from "FLORIDA" to make them sweat!!!!
